Is it possible d'you think...
...to write humorous poetry without metre and rhyme?
Somehow I think not. At least I've never seen any examples.

Rhythm adds to the feeling of a humorous poem, as do wry and/or clever rhymes.

It seems to be that without these two features, humorous (poetry) would be just an anecdote, an epigram or a funny paragraph or two. But not poetry.

But then I suppose there are those who would tell us that humorous (verse) is not poetry in any event.

But let's not get into that...

cheers
Peter E
