I got this in my guest book.
YOU IDIOT, DONT YOU KNOW YOU ARE ALTERING THE BRATZ. THE BRATZ ARE SUPPOSED TO BE COPYRIGHT!!!! YOU SHOULD KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!!
And they did'nt leave a name or E-mail. I see on so many doll sites ppl other art work they have made into dolls.
So am I in the wrong? What do you guys think?
only if you are coping it pixel by pixel and you are giving them the same name colors. if you are doing that you should to cover your webpage give a link to the brats webpage and credit for the pose and names used.. also state that your site if for personal use so any dolls found on your site are for fun!

I sell brat mousepads though hehe
I do not sell the ones that have the same poses as on the brats home page though.
I duno what to think about copy write at times I think a lot of doll sites claim to have copy writes but they do not. I know it is way way expinsive to copy write something. No way any teenager has paid that much to copy write every doll on their page.
Also theres AMy Brown. She does art work of faerys n stuff. I have her art all over my walls. On doll sites I see like every one of amy's drawings have been turned into cartoon dolls. But not only do they take her art and make it a doll they say they own the copy writes to it after they do that?
There is just no way! Amybrown.com i think.
As far as the bratz go though, IT seems like turning them into cartoon dolls inprooves them! I dont care for the artist they pay to make their version of the brats online lol.
I mean they are cute n all just dont like the shading they use and the colors are not deep enough. I have even thaught of letting them know it too lol. Hire me instead lol.
As far as I know they do not sell those pictures that we use to make our dolls with. SO its not like we are taking away from them by drawing our own dolls. Seems like in a way we are doing free advertizing even if we dont link to their page.
Maybe we should add them to our web ring or something lol
can put them at the end so it doesnt mess up the ring effect.
IT would have been nice if that person had left their web page or email. I bet on their web page they have dolls they didnt even do anything to lol.
Theres like 500 doll pages that have not one edited doll of their own on them! I do not even see a point of making a page like that! THey will tell you " I got them on the palace that makes them mine"
whatever! lol
I guess ill add a link to the bratz page today though....
I may even add a fake copy write like everyone els does lol
last year I found out it would cost way over 1000$ to copy write one tiny doll!

Woha that much for a doll!? Nuts lol. I think the only way u get intotroble is if you copyit pixel bye pixel like she said up there. Thats what they say in that Copyright for doll. There was this same thing going on in there. dont let them people bug u. There just mad.

Yeah I could'nt belive what they wrote. I see tons of amy brown art recreated into dolls. I put on my web page a link to the bratz web page. SO ppl will chill out. My mom has a Embroidery machine. And she does alot of pics of like walt disney and stuff. So is she going to get sued? I don't understand any of this copy right stuff. I just put my name on my dolls so ppl know who made them. If some one wanted to come to my site and adopt all my dolls I could care less I would just like a link back. So I thought I would do the same for the bratzpack.

I would think that when it comes to kid stuff they are not anel. As long as you dont sell it.
I do wonder however what Amy Brown would say though hehe.
She is young and not a corperation. She makes money off her pictures that everyone keeps copying.
Disney and bratz they make money off everything and dont lose a dime if someone draws one of their charecters.
I hate it when people put rude comments in your guest book! I dont mind when they make it private though.
I got harrased by 4 people once when I joined a yahoo group for dolls and addvertized my web page! I had to block them from my guest book. And they kept calling me rude???

even when I tried to say I was sorry I was cussed at and told that they could make me a nobody in the doll world lmao and noone would ever go to my site again.
All I did was ask people to see my page!

Ahhh I got some more messages in my guest book about this whole thing with the bratz copyright. This really sucks. Why don't ppl worry about more important things? One girl did leave her E mail and I E-mailed her back. Still waiting for a reply...

speaking of that have yall every gone to the web ring list to see how many hits you have gotten? Some sites get a ton of hits!

People are just mean and have to be rude to others there just mad. They probably make drag and drop dolls and don't know how to make dolls lol so they got to be rude to people who try. that's what I think about the whole thing. Just don't let them get you down that's what they want to see.
