In fond memory
In Fond Memory of our pal, our friend "Freckles" Sept. '91-Aug. '02 The Springer Spaniel that was all heart
He was always by my side, no matter where I went
He followed me here and there and I always bent
To pet his freckled head and give him some love
He will be sorely missed, I hope he is above
Please God, I hope with all my heart and soul
that Freckles is keeping my mother company and waiting for us there,
romping and playing, being our "clown" dog......all without a care.
Oh, Freckles dog, we will miss you and always remember the way
you showed your love and protected us, each and every day.
Last night , for the first time in over 11 years
I went to bed without you, but was overcome with tears.
The place you lay beside me when I went to bed at night
was oh, so empty, you were no where in sight.
I woke this morning weeping because you were not there to do "your thing"
which was to go to hubby's side and wake him before the alarm could ring.
You will always be remembered by the ones you showed so much love.
I can hardly wait to join you in the God's heaven above.

no more pain and suffering.......I just really hope, no matter how silly.......that he is waiting for us at the pearly gates. I miss him sooooooo much. Sean dug the hole for his grave where I had planned to plant a tree. His final resting place will turn into his favorite things......tree, shade, flowers and there is a bench right there too. Oh, man, I know he was just a dog, but he was also my shadow.....this is hard! I am so tired of HARD!!!!!!

I think it is wonderful that Freckles will be in his favorite things....tree, shade, and flowers. The bench for you, well that sounds perfect to me.
I know that this is hard for you.
I also understand how you are feeling. I am so tired of HARD!!! also.

I know Raine, I read it.......I don't even remember if I posted or had to get off.......but I will go to that link. You know I have had many many pets, but none that was so dear to my heart as Freckles. Seeing his pic here, brings tears to my eyes. Thanks you guys for understanding and not thinking I'm and idiot for the way I feel about this dog!
