The Hives would kick their assesm. Matts too nice but I bet Nics hard and Vigs big Pelle could do Rivers and with a man spare, nice!

Yeah, even if Weezer had all three bassists, The Hives would probably still win.
The Hives would also beat up The Strokes, and against The White Stripes would be a bit unfair... What about The Hives versus Oasis? (damn, if only they had been playing on the same day at T in the Park...)

Not one single person has voted for Nicholaus or Pelle! How very *ahem* surprising. Personally, I have no faith in Pelle's fighting abilities - I think he would be crap - but Nic could do that weird chicken neck (as Madda calls it) thing that he does when he sings, and perhaps knock his opponent out by thrusting his head forward violently and shouting "Only throwing back what you've been putting in my face" or something similar. Or he could just stare at them with his evil piercing Rowan Atkinson eyeballs and turn them to stone.

Pelle could just strutt, and everyone would crease up laughing, so they could be taken by surprise. With this theory, I believe the Hives would win any time.

Of course, if Nick had his trusty tellecaster on him, then he could just do that move where he chucks it over his shoulder to deal with any would-be attackers.

Having seen them go through more than their fair share of instruments at 2 gigs, I'd say they have sufficiently low concern for their instruments and equipment to use them to maximum effect.
Who'd pay money to see one of the oft-talked-about Nic vs. Pelle fights?

who would win a fight between The Hives?
well, they actually answered this question in a cash for questions interview in Q magazine a few months ago.
i cant quite remember, but i think they all thought that Vigilante would. and i mean, think about it, Vigilante is the *ahem* biggest, and would just push his weight around. read the interview, its really good.
Dr Matt is the nice guy of the band anyway, hes the one whos a part-time kindergarten teacher!
Chris Dangerous is the tough-guy, so you would think he would handle himself, but he got mugged when The Hives were on their last tour of England, so.... maybe not.
Nicholaus is the oldest, so maybe he would just be naturally stronger, but hes a father, so i dont think he would have all of the angst the other members do.
Pelle doesnt look strong, but is dangerous with a mic (when he swings it around) so he could probably knock a few people out with that.
lets just come to the conclusion that any serious fight between The Hives would either never happen, or would be pretty evenly matched.
