I'm here!!
Hey everyone...I'm here to answer any questions you may have, whether its a girl issue, competition question, supplements, diet, training....anything--i'll try to help. Or maybe you just want to say Hi or vent or need that little bit of support, just post away--i'm always here.
Well I lift pretty heavy in the off season trying to build mass~AND lifting more than the guys,
But, as your slimming down for a show, at how many weeks out do you lift lighter and do supersets. Do you do this at all or lift heavy until the week of the show?
Darrin believes in the "laws of adaptation"...if you lift lighter, your body will adapt and lose muscle...So on that thought....I stay constant throughout my dieting pushing my body and keeping with the heavier weights staying within the 6-8 rep range. The diet allows me to still build muscle and recover from workouts. The last week is really the only week where my workouts change, I only goto the gym to keep my mind busy but I barely even lift.
On another note....CONGRATS on the oxygen mag!! You looked great!!

Hey do you remember those pink or baby blue plastic weights? We had them in the gym in aerobic room for Ladies LOL.It used to drive me NUTS seing chicks doing 50 or 100 reps and chatting to each other "We do not want to get too bulky" was their reply to me when I asked them what they want to achieve by doing that
Going hard and heavy will give you nice hard toned bodz

That is soooo funny, I thought they were for old women but the other day a girl picked them up at my gym and i swear she was doing like 50 reps and didn't even break a sweat i just laughed i felt rotten but i must say why bother???

We have a few pairs of those things at my gym as well, I never really got the point of them...most ladies purses are heavier--oh well--some girls just don't like to sweat i guess My dog would carry one those in her mouth!!

I think..blame Jane Fonda LOL Isn't she the one responsible for those silly leg armers,head bands etc...OMG I roll on the floor when someone still wear those these days...yes it does happen I saw someone two years ago in South Africa
I've been a reader of your blog and have admired your successes for sometime. I have taken myself away from posting in forums and on blogs in the last couple years as home, kids, and life in general have left little extra time to spend online, but I do read when I can and thank goodness I do. I discovered your site www.timetoemerge.com and after spending a couple hours reading Darrin's Dieting 101 and Training sections decided to contact him reagrding my nutrition.
Long story short - I really admire you and your tenacity and dedication. I have a great respect for you and just thought I'd share that with you. Please thank Darrin for directing me to the forum to reap the knowledge of the individuals that participate here. I may have lots of questions so I hope that's okay!
