--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How to make a Pop-Up
Add an extra dimension to your scrapbooks with Pop-Up pages. A pop-up is mounted between two scrapbook pages and pops up as the page is turned. Pop-Ups work best with scrapbooks were pages are close together -- such as flex-hinge and post-bound albums.

Tools

Sturdy Cardstock
a heavy cardstock is need for the base of the pop-up
Pattern
we like to cut our pattern from tracing paper to aid in decorating the pop-up. Enlarge and shrink the pattern according to your page.
Adhesive
we like to use 2-sided photo tape to adhere pop-up to scrapbook page
Scissors
needed to cut out pattern; try decorative scissors for a different look
Pencil, bone folder (helpful), and stickers/die cuts to decorate pop-up

Instructions

(1) Trace pattern onto cardstock
Trace pop-up pattern onto sturdy cardstock lightly with a pencil.

(2) Cut out base
Use scissors to cut out base around traced pattern lines.

(3) Fold up bottom flaps
Fold up both flaps at the bottom of the base as marked on the pattern.

(4) Decorate pop-up
Decorate your pop-up with stickers, die cuts, rubber stamps --- the possibilities are endless. Mount stickers or die cuts on cardstock to add firmness and additional color. Let some of your design elements fall off the edges of the pop-up for a really great look. Tip: Baby powder can be used to de-sticky the stickers.

(5) Adhere pop-up to scrapbook page
Use a strong adhesive to adhere pop-up to your scrapbook pages. We like two-sided photo mounting tape. Be really generous in your application of adhesive to ensure that your pop-up stays put. Mount a flap on each page of your two-page spread -- keeping the placement of the pop-up even across both pages.

(6) Decorate the flap
Extend the theme of the pop-up to the flap by adding additional stickers or die cuts. Design line stickers (by Mrs. Grossman's) work really well.

Hope she gets the chance, cut if not, I surely understand. We need like a "tips on toddlers" forum......there are a lot of little ones around!!!!!!
