Maybe this is the anger and hurt in me that is talking but as much as you want to TRY to support this team next year, how can it be done when you will always have THIS to remember (I'm NEVER going to forget it being that it happened on my birthday!)
They can fire whoever they have to, trade off whoever they need to and do whatever "damage control" they can. Nevertheless, how can ANYONE feel comfortable going to a Met game next year, having THIS in the back of one's mind?
Call me a quitter...I can care less but my faith in the Mets and the organization as a whole is GONE. They can have a 45 game lead next year on September 29th and I still don't know how I would feel.
This may just be the anger and hurt talking, but I've lost faith. The sad part of it all? I don't know what team I want to root for next year. It CAN'T be the Mets. Not after this.
