.Hogwarts. A Legend
Not a single one survived
On 10 June 1997, Lord Voldemort attacked Hogwarts School. Though the members of the castle fought valiantly, there was no way to stop Lord Voldemort, because the Final Horcrux had not been discovered. Though the members of the Order of the Phoenix knew this, that did not stop them from fighting.
The first to die was Minerva McGonagall. She fought the hardest and longest of any of them. Though she did not have the power of Albus Dumbledore, Heir of Gryffindor, Minerva held her own. In the end, she was killed, not by magic, but a single knife-wound through the heart. After Minerva died, full battle broke out., the Death Eaters, Werewolves and Giants versus the Students and Staff of Hogwarts, The Ministry of Magic, and the Order of the Phoenix. For this reason, it was called the Battle of the Six Armies.
The Battle of the Six Armies carried on for two weeks. At the end, Hogwarts Castle was a mere wreckage, Voldemort having destroyed the school within. The entire grounds had the smell of rotting flesh, for the dead had not been laid to rest. Then, something amazing happened.
Fawkes, the Phoenix of Albus Dumbledore, after the battle, and let out a cry. It was not a beautiful song, like its lament for Albus Dumbledore or its healing song. It was a cry of war. Such was the power of the cry, Lord Voldemort and his army retreated. Then, the most amazing thing happened. Through the tears of the phoenix, Hogwarts Castle was rebuilt, and the souls of the fallen warriors of light were entombed next to Albus Dumbledore, and to this day, a memorial there stands, a large stone of marble, naming all of the deceased.
Ten years later, a man named M.J. Lyons discovered the secret of Voldemort’s horcruxes upon the memoirs of Albus Dumbledore. He sought out the last of the Horcruxes, and destroyed Voldemort, once and for all. The wizarding world rejoiced.
But is their joy fruitless
Forty years after Lyons destroyed Voldemort, Hogwarts school is once again up and running. Yet a shadow has come to return to the wizarding world…. But it hides, and bides its time.
