We are currently playing October 14th - 20th 1997
The chilly air holds the promise of an early winter at Hogwarts. Scattered rain and storms occur throughout the week, and the sky is constantly cloudy.
Previous experience: I have played for years on ezboard and if you look at my profile it will back up my claim. I have also done admin work and I am looking for a good challenging board to write on. Right now I am on Hogwarts Antiques and I play some fun characters there. Including Harry Potter.

Appearance: Hermione has bushy brown hair and brown eyes and a soft smooth complexion. Though very thin, she has developed nicely through the years and is showing more interest in keeping that look. Her long legs and nice bust has changed her and given her confidence she never had before. Hermione's eyes sparkle when she is doing something she loves or is around her two best friends Harry and Ron.
Hermione was not always in good graces with others with her buck teeth and bushy brown hair, though during her fourth year after Draco threw the Denauagus curse she was able to alter that a bit. Well actually more then just a bit actually. To be honest, she shrunk them further then what they had been before. Even Ron and Harry noticed. Of coarse that is the main goal. To have boys notice you when your a maturing young lady. Maybe that is why Draco Malfoy picks on her so? (chuckles to ones self.)
That same year, Hermione learned to placed her hair in decorative knots and in doing so awed everyone who looked at her. It's amazing how a young girl who once was very squarely and now is becoming the object of many affections. Though only one she hopes to snag and with a little more effort she will be able to do just that.
Personality: Though she has been called a know it all and a busy body, Hermione is actually very sweet and is devoted to her friends. She is passionate about many things and it's things like SPEW and DA that keeps her level. She also has changed a lot from her early years. Now she will break the rules if it is needed and she will do what it takes to protect those she loves. Though one thing is for certain, Hermione has developed a serious crush on Ron Weasley and the deviant side comes out at times when he talks or sees other girls. This year should be interesting as Hermione really still hasn't told Ron of her true intentions for him, yet it's obvious how much she really fancies him.
Through the years though, Hermine has become well a bit moody. She flies off the handle and has been known to slug a few people. (Just ask Draco Malfoy.) Maybe it's this fire that drives her so when it comes to the "Ron" subject. In her eyes, he's a more then just a guy and to see other girls flaunt themselves around him makes her angry and frustrated. Now if she could just get her feelings out in the open, she would be OK. Or would she? Then he would know and the whole confusion would set in. Imagine sitting there thinking about your best friend and how you are in love with them and then you finally tell them. What if says he doesn't feel the same? Add this all on top of what she already is going through and Hermione has quiet the controversy and turmoil going on deep down inside of her.
History: The Granger's, while accepting the Wizarding world and their daughter's place in it, do not approve of using magic for quick fixes. They insisted, for example, that Hermione's somewhat over sized front teeth be dealt with in the usual way: with braces. They send healthy snacks by owl to Hermione at Hogwarts and come with her to Diagon Alley in August to help her buy her things for school. What they tell their family and friends about their daughter and her school is anyone's guess, but they are certainly proud of her.
Hermione is the first in her long line of Muggle's to be born with magical powers and the first to enter Hogwarts. (occ:top part was taken from Lexicon)
Though she had gone through many trials with the boys, the one that makes her think the most are the ones from the last three years. Yes, helping Harry and Ron get the Sorcerers stone was important her first year. Though her second year it was all she could do but leave a clue for them. Laying there day after day, it was only then that she realized how Ron felt.
Her third year they saved Sirius and Buckbeak. Both were huge feats all in there own, yet as she thinks back on it, It was because they all helped each other. She felt badly for Ron. He looked so cute and pathetic lying in a hospital bed. Yet in the same aspect, Harry was so brave to go back in time with her to face his fears and to conquer them.
Her fourth year, That was a night mare and now everything has changed. Voldemort is back, the fact that Hermione can now say his name with out fear amazes herself even. Though she was emotionally a total wreck. Viktor was so sweet and it flattered her so that out of all the girls, he chose her to be with. Though it also bothered her that Ron and she fought all year it seemed. Maybe it was that Fleur Delacour's influence on Ron? Or was it the fact that Harry was almost killed? Cedric Diggory's death didn't help either and all she wanted to do was to have Ron hold her like the year before, yet Harry was the priority here and she accepted that.
Their fifth year was also very crazy. With Voldemort on the loose and no one believing Harry but a few, she stayed focused and helped come up with the idea that harry should start a Defense Against the Dark Arts club. He being the teacher of coarse. He wasn't to thrilled at first, but it helped Harry heal and focus on something good. Cho for an example and though they didn't last, Hermione felt she some how had a hand in it. The battle that took Sirius's life devastated them all, but Hermione was truly affected. The thought of Harry's only possible parent being gone disturbed her and she wished she could have done more. Of coarse Ron's attack by the brains rattled her, even though she didn't remember much about it. In all, it was one year she didn't want to remember.
Then their sixth year hit and all her worst night mares came true. RON started to date of all people Lavender Brown. Hermione's blood boiled as she watched them together and it killed her to no end that he would even be caught dead snogging with her. Hermione did everything she could to distract Ron, even transfigured Birds to fly at him to attack. Though when he came to the conclusion he was done with Lavender, Hermione couldn't help but smile. Was it her dating other guys? Or was it the fact that she was finally getting under Ron's skin? Either way she didn't care. Though it wasn't until the death of one of their mentors that she realized just how important Ron and Harry were to her. The shock overwhelmed her and for someone who is always even keeled and never flustered it was very hard for her to accept. Though to be comforted by Ron like he did helped her through it. Now with Harry's new quest, she almost felt secure in the fact that they had changed Harry's mind so he would come back. They would destroy all they could find and do what they must. However, this time, this would be the year that would oblivate all. For it will sort out those weak from the strong and their love and friendship will be the one thing that will pull them threw this nightmare.

Hermione was in a buzz as she ran into the common room area with homework in hand. Her mind a blur as she thought about the conversation she over heard between Lavender and Parvati as she found Ron and Harry and she threw her book bag down and looked at them both. "You know it's nice to know that no matter what you do no one truly appreciates you!" She snapped as she glared at Ron.
Harry's brow went up as Ron glanced at him curiously. "`Mione, what are you going about now?" Ron asked her.
Hermione grabbed her ancient ruins book and held it in front of her not realizing it was up side down. "Nothing!" She said in a bit of a tiff.
"You call that nothing?" Ron said incredulously.
Harry almost looked as if he was in a ping pong match as he watched Hermine and Ron go back and forth.
"You know you really have a lot of nerve Ronald!" She snapped as she threw her book down.
"What did I do now?"
"What did you do? What did you?!" Hermione stood up and leaned in pointing her finger right into his chest. "You! You asked her to go to the first Hogsmead this year with you!" She snapped as her eyes tore into him.
"Hermione we all go every year.." Harry offered helplessly.
That fell on deaf ears though as Ron stood up and looked down at her tiny frame. "So what your saying is, because we had a "moment" last year I can't speak to any other females anymore? Well listen up, I don't know were you are playing at Granger but I have had it to here with you and your telling me who I can and can not see!" he spat at her.
Harry's eyes grew huge as he sat back and watched his two best friends batter each other.
"Oh really Ronald?" She said getting teary eyed. "Well then why don't you go and tell her how much you fancie her again, maybe you two can snug more so that we wont see you for the next school year! I don't even know why I bother! Honestly both of you are pathetic! You Ron and your obsession with woman who don't even care about you, and Harry here who throws away the one thing he cares for the most!" Hermine started to turn back to place her book in her bag when she then turned around again and looked up at Ron. With fire in her eyes she dropped her books leaned in and kissed him full on the lips. Butterflies danced around as she trembled slightly. She felt the fire between them, did he? After she finished she pulled back, a small smile of satisfaction was now on her face, she looked at Harry and smirked.
"What? Maybe he will shut up now!" She said matter of factly as she looked at Ron and then picking up her book bag she turned to go up to the girls dorm.
"What the bloody hell was that about?" Ron said dumb struck.
Harry smirked and patted Ron on the back. "I believe mate, Hermione yelled check mate, and I'm afraid You lost." He said chuckling as he watched the look of complete shock start to fade from his face.
"Oh, right." He wrinkled his nose as he looked back at the direction Hermione was in and said, " Shall we ah.." Ron had a small grin spread across his face as he finally found his voice, "Shall we go then?"
"Go were?" Harry asked curiously.
"Go play in the snow, I need something to bloody well cool me off." He answered him in deep thought. While a deep feeling of satisfaction creeped deep inside him.

ah right, OK I swear I can't believe I didn't see that. I even read that whole thing. I always do before I join any board...lol OK NOW that I know what I was looking for, I posted it to my app. I hope this is good enough. It should be fun and I'm actually excited about this. I even have another friend who might want to play here who is an amazing role player as well. Anyways, let me know if there is anything else I can do. Or If I need to change anything else.

Hiya again! Now that the codes are there I can surely review your app.
First of all, I'd like to inform you that either yours or Fiona's application will be accepted only when Trixie comes back. I can't make such important decission alone, especially when it concers one of the main canons. Until then you can work more on your application, because there are some things that have to be edited.
You have to elaborate on her appearance too. Include her height, facial features' description, posture, etc. Also I have to warn you to be careful not to make Hermione sound like being too much into her appearance as well as being exceedingly beautiful, which she isn't.
I noticed the lack of description of her pre-Hogwarts years in history. Since not much is known about that, you have all the freedom to be creative. Also I must ask you remove the paragraph you took from HP Lexicon. I'd like to see the application written by you. Of course, that site is very good to know the facts about this certain character.
Your RP sample is really good, but I would like to be a bit more Hermione-centric. Daialogues are okay, but please focuss more on your character. Also reread it carefully for spelling and punctuation errors. This goes for the entire app.
