Hello
I'm somewhat new to this game and I thought I would come in here to try to meet some more of the players, It turns out that most of the posts in here are by one of the few people I have already talked to.

Hi Red,
I'm guessing you're talking about me. I like this format for discussions better than Yahoo Groups... it should make things tidier, and facilitate researching specific things in the rules. Too many ppl get WAY off topic on the message board... but, that's just my gripe cause I'm frequently picking through old posts, like some kind GOB archeologist...
Additionally, people can just look for posts specifically by me (which is kinda creepy, I admit). Sometimes that helps, if you remember somebody saying something a week ago, but don't know where to look. :
I will try to promote this as I am able, as it is a very significant improvement, a useful tool, a relaxing atmosphere... oh yeah, and a nice place for those who haven't yet kicked their addiction to emotes.
Anyway, enough from me.

P.S. Holy bannerfest lately at Yahoo!

Well now, that's interesting. How far back in the annals of Guild history have you dug? Found any interesting, ancient, artifacts?
The Guild of Blades created its own rune language back in 1994? Good luck unearthing that one though, as it was published in a local gamer zine with a big mighty circulation of less than 100.

Re: update
There seem to be a lot of dead links from the various games. Also is there any way to see a entire 1483 map?

Lord Duro,
I believe "links under construction" is more apt than "dead". The Guild does not want for ambition...
Anyway, the only full game map I have seen is in game 5, and it contains a custom map of the Americas. It also contains a custome map of Australia, New Zealand...
It should, however, be accurate if you simply wish to tell how far it is from Kanem to Brunei, as I believe all the sea zones and territories are identical to those in the Competition game.
