Having to roll for things
i think this game would be better if you had to roll for certain things. you shouldn't be able to just say that you hit the guy and say he dies. you should have to roll. but figuring that out would be hard. if you like the idea and would like to know a little more send me an email or ezmail or whatever.

Re: Having to roll for things
i thought about that, but it just makes things difficult. Mods/Admins will send in a factor if you are seriously hit something, and we can counter you if you say some thing like "i shoot the titan and with one shot it falls and destroys the entire enemy army"

Re: Having to roll for things
If we do use dice for combat we'll need to decide how far we should go. All the way to hitpoints and such or just rolls to hit? I most evident problem is if we assign each gun and race certain stats (Each gun would have a set number like '4+ to hit', and races would be a modifer, so for Marines is would be '3+ to hit') then everyone will choose the most accurate gun and the best race, no-one has chosen an evil/chaotic character yet.

Then we would have to choose which dice to use. d10 sounds the best (And you roll it twice if you want a percentage. First number is the 10's digit, second number is 1's digit.) Er...and cover, full cover like a wall, partial cover like a window, leaning around a corner and visibility like low-light conditions and such.

But, you guys want it then I most certainly will use the rules I've been formulating for a modern RPG, it will require a little tweaking.

NO!
No dice rolling. I the person makes an outragious claim like killing a tank in one hit then counter them. No dice.
