He gave me the gloves and then said lets hope you don't end up looking like heman!!!!!
But i think in time when he see's how i am developing he will be more supportive and less of an arse!!

Em, try not to take his comments to heart too much (i know its sooo hard)..he sounds like he's having an insecurity problem. This has nothing to do with you, this is something that he has to fix on his own. He is starting to show his support which is good--small steps....one baby step at a time.
