Had an idea
I've really gotten into cooking since I got this awesome cookbook fro Xmas, and what I was thinking was what if once a month or once every couple of months we meet at someones house and cook up a treat, and then share the meal together afterwards. I was thinking this could be kid-free as we all know how hard it is to cook when kids are around and when its hot in the kitchen.
Anyway its just a suggestion, I know that we all cook everyday, but I thought if we tried something different and made it fun, then it would be a change from the norm.
What does everyone else think?
I mean if we go to a different persons house each time, so that its not always using the same person's electricity, and then each cook something to share it might be nice.

Thats a great idea Simone!!!
I wouldnt be able to do it though cos Im living with my parents, brother and a friend of ours it wouldnt be possible as our house is so packed already

i actually saw something like this on the Oprah show about 3 years ago.... there was this huge group of friends, and every month they got together at one of the ladies' houses and cooked HEAPS and ate it together... it looked so fun!
this is definitely a great idea!!!!!!!!
i would be more than willing to hold some at my place too as i have heaps of room and am close to the train station for ppls who need public transport, etc.....
maybe each month, if this goes ahead, we could have a different type of food theme... iykwim!!... like mexican, italian, aussie (whatever that is! hehe!)..... or whatever it'd be fun either way... and i think ppls enjoy cooking more when it's for guests, ya know?

yeh terri u can share my house. hehehe not a problem just means i'd have it more often at my place, but it's cool!
i just have one request..... whoever cooks at my place, helps with the dishes!!!

sounds like a great idea! and if it's still warm enough we could have it at my place out on the verandah! and we'll try and make it a night when Alex (my partner) is on night shift!!

Of course Bonny! And thanks heaps! I always start the dishes while Im cooking - Im a freak like that lol  Gives me more bench space if its all washed and out of the way

Thornlie I live just off Spencer Rd and there's a bus stop at the end of my road so public transport is relatively easy

LOL Probably! Im always at Carousel thats for sure! I used to be wandering around your area with another Yammie Tracey (teenage faerie) she used to live in Thornlie, on the corner of Berehaven and Storey rds
