HELP with goats; care and fencing? Need help quick!
got 6 goats given to me (all males, 5 neutered, 1 not yet). We have a fenced in place for them, temporarily. It is made up of chainlink fence, 48" tall. They stayed in it ok for yesterday and Sunday night. Went out to check on them this morning and they were loose. Thankfully rattling some food in a bucket got them into our fenced back yard (5 ft tall). We had them in a section of our woods that is over grown with brush, and weeds. They ate the leaves off of any trees that they could reach the leaves, and ignored the brush and weeds. But when loose, they were going after every weed they could find. I need to know what kind of fencing is best for keeping them in, how tall, basically: what to do to keep them from getting out. Also, as for food. Do they need goat food to supplement in addition to eating just the grass, weeds, brush. The people we got them from said they were great at eating brush and loved under brush in the woods. Please HELP, with any info on fencing and food, etc.
