Grimacing...Somewhat.
((My in-my-own-little-world post. Go figure.))

*Lyddie H'tarlaw sighed as she dragged her trunk out of the carriage, setting in down next to her and sitting down on it. She didn't have to go for a long while, she knew it, but still, she just wanted to stay down here for a little while, thinking.*

*Bringing a knee up to her chin, Lyddie sat there, letting one leg dangle on its own. She was clad in plum-colored UFO's and a periwinkle tank top, something she had pretty much thrown together, the only jewelry she was wearing a thin chain for a necklace that hung tightly around her neck, dragging across two small, prick-like scars.*

*Scars...it felt like she had so many more this year. Three on her cheek, criss-crossed over each other. Two from a catfight, one from the blade of her own sword. The ones on her neck were from a vampyr bite, once hated, now practically her lover. But internal scars, that's what she had. Bad things had happened this year. The Drow attacks on the school, her father's death, and most recently, the day she had almost killed herself in the Common Room. Lyddie was never going to be the same...she knew Heaven and Hell now, knew that they both existed not in other realms but right here on earth.*

*The end of the term brought a few pleasant signs...Lyddie was going to stay with the Alexander's, not another summer in Diagon Alley like she had originally planned. Finally, she was getting out of the wizarding world...not that she hated it, she loved it, but she had been here too long. She needed a small piece of normalcy within all the craze...but there would be things she would miss. Sighing, Lyddie closed her eyes, her lids shivering as a tear rolled down her cheek.*

"You hear that, dad..." *she murmured.* "...I'm living."

~*~

"She spends her days up in the north park,
Watching the people as they pass
And all she wants is just a little piece of this dream,
Is that too much to ask?
With a safe home, and a warm bed,
On a quiet little street
All she wants is just that something to hold onto...
that’s all she needs.

If I could be like that...
I would give anything
Just to live one day in those shoes
If I could be like that, what would I do
What would I do?"

Irritatingly Cheary...
((Was about to starta a post, but why bother?))

*Wren hopped out of the carrage behind Lyddie, unloading her trunk, and cauldrin. She wass still wearing her usual shool atire, what she wore under her robes. Though she'd arived with the cauldrin, trunk AND a large duffle, she'd managed to eat the vast magority of the packaged food she'd packed. Leaving her with a little less.

Wren floated her trunk over to where Lyddie sat, and sat down upon it next to her, and her own cauldrin, content just to sit and muse beside her freind again.

Wren was a bit more cheary than usual, because she, unlike poor Lydz, was going home to a loving family. It almost made her feel guilty, like if Lyddie couldn't have a family, neither should she, but she wasn't about to give them up if she could avoid it.

She was going home to her room, and her things and her bed. It was more home to her than Hogwarts would ever be. Hogwarts was an adventure, an extended sleepover, but not a safe place to be. Home was safe, home was where her mom's arms were, and that's where she was going.

Wren was happy, but for her freinds sake, she tryed to bottle it in.*

Irritatingly Cheary...in Duplicate....
*Hazle jumped out of a different carrage than Wren and Lyddie had, and marched over to them, trunk floating behind her, cauldrin, makeup case, and hat boxes on top.

Hazle was going home, home to the world of the muggles, where she was someone. She was the QUEEN of the mall rats, the diva of her world. And she was going home to her castle.

The only down point is she would be shaing her room now, not just with her looser sister, but with a total shictozoid freak, in the form of Lyddie H'Tarlaw.

Hazle was plaeased, and she made NO secret of the matter, tugging gleefully at the bottm of her tank top, and staring down at the other two.*

"Whadaya know, Mutt and Joe are at it again." said Hazle with a smirk. "Ever stop to think and forget to start again?"

*Hazle laughed and continued on towards the train.*

Erm...Triplicate...
((Covers for brainded MIA brother...))

*Richey bounded out of a fourth carrage, trunk floating eagery behing him, and still wearing his Gryffandor robes. He turned back to the carrage, wating for Aaric, with whom he'd ridden to the statoin.*

"Come ON!!! I wanna get on the train!!!" he called.

((KK's Hope it's Ok I said Richey and Aaric came together, as hypotheticaly speaking, they'd have gotten to know eachother quite well, being first year Griffies, if my bro had been RPing as often as he should. ~Jane.))

Re: Does that make me the double grimacer?
"Okay, okay, hang on..." Aaric grumbled slightly, climbing out of the carriage and dragging his trunk behind him, letting it land with a loud THUD on the ground. Aaric, unlike Richey, was clad in muggle clothes of deep green, thick chin-length hair pulled back in somewhat of a ponytail ((think Westley from 'The Princess Bride')) at the base of his neck.

"I'm out, happy?" he asked, a slight note of humor in his voice, but there wasn't much of a grin to go with it as he saw his sister and her friend. Aaric hadn't been in a good mood with Lyddie since...ever...but the tensions inside him had exploded since the episode in the Great Hall between her and Philip Taylor, a Ravenclaw.

"Wren, Hazle..." he nodded politely to the two, gritting his teeth as he did the same to his sister. "Lyddie..."

Re: Who knows....
"Aaric..." *Lyddie answered, her tone equally stiff. She didn't like the look on his face...he was mad. Aaric had every right to be, yes, but she couldn't help but feel angry at him...why should he be mad over something that hadn't been bad at all? Something she had wanted? It was just idiocy.*

"Everyone ready to get on?" *she asked, hoping to change the mood slightly, shoving aside Hazle's rather dense "Mutt and Joe" comment about her and Wren. She reached up and opened one of the compartment doors.*

Irratating...Aaric
*Philip dragged his realitivly light trunk behind him, it containing his wizarding robes, but most of it was his muggle clothes and school equipment. He had received too much homework over the holidays, but he supposed everybody eles got it so hed better do it also.*

*He found himself at the edge of Hogsmede Station, looking for a place to climb aboard the Hogwarts Express. Philips glinting brown eyes, caught the sight of Lyddie Htarlaw, half hanging out of the train half inside. He held back a small laugh, and walked towards her and the people she seemed to be talking to, sneaking up quietly.*

"Hey," *Philip said smiling stupidly, as he tapped Lyddie gently on the shoulder, whilst she was facing inside the train.*

Re: And of course, everyone else.
*Lyddie's head turned as she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder and she smiled, blushing slightly through what little freckles remained on her face as she saw Philip. She jumped down out of the train and wrapped her arms around his neck in a gentle hug.*

"Hey," *she said, planting a soft kiss on his cheek.* "Miss me?"

AGACK!!!
"Lyds....PDA Lydz.... PDA!!!"

*Wren shuddered at the sight of the two embracing.*

"You like HIM?" she asked in disbelife... "He lost 200 points from our house!!! Well.... it's not your house...what do you care...Ok Shuddig up."

*Hazle was even worse off.*

"EEEEEWE!!!" shouted Hazle. "God not HIM!!! You can NOT be serois!!! EEEEEEWE!!!"

*Wren pulled her sister onto the train and shoved her in a compartment, slamming the door.*

"Don't mind her...but guys, PDA."

Re: AGACK!!!
*Lyddie rolled her eyes at Wren and Hazle's comments. True, Wren had a perfectly logical explanation for her disliking of Philip, but Hazle...she just needed a reality check, and big time.*

*But Aaric...Lyddie looked down, and saw that he was clutching the fabric of his pants so tightly his knuckles were white, and his face was curled into an angry look. She looked at him curiously, seeing a malicious, wild glint in his eyes.*

"Aaric...are you alright?" *she asked curiously.*

"I'm...fine..." *he growled, and grabbed Richey by the hand, probably harder than he would have.* "Come on, Richey..." *Aaric began to try and drag both Richey and their trunks into the compartment at the same time.*

*Sighs* The immaturity of some
*Philip was glad at the welcoming he had received from Lyddie, but not so much so from the Alexanders. He had only seen Wren around the Ravenclaw Common Room, and a first introduction, such as the one he had received from Hazle, was not very complmentary.*

*He smiled slightly, and mutter something that sounded like 'Immature' under his breath, and turned back to Lyddie, as she spoke to Aaric. It was quite obvious that he was slightly uncomfortable with Aaric, for he knew that the night they had met they hadnt got along as much as they could have done. He knew that immediatly he was hated by half the Slytherins, who knew about the little incident at Hogsmede and the same reason for more than half the Ravenclaws, also, which gave Hazle and Wren a big excuse for their behavour.*

"So what have you been telling your little Slytherin friends about me?" *Philip asked, a larger smile spreading across his face as he grasped her hand gently.*

*Richey gawcked and was pulled into the train.*

"Ok....Aaric what's with you?" he asked.

*Mentime outside.*

"Look, aside from the PDA, I just hope you two are happy together..." siad Wren, trying to be hapy for Lyddie, "But you," she turned to Phill, "Lips good... Teeth BAD. No biting."

*She folowed Richey and Aaric into the train, and retrived Hazle from her compartment, to bring her in with the boys.*

Re: *Sighs* The immaturity of some
*Lyddie giggled slightly at Philip's question to her as Wren disappeared into the train compartment with everyone else, leaving the two alone.*

"Nothing much really...at all," *she said, smiling, her tone in a bit of a sing-song voice. It was true; she hadn't really needed to explain much to anyone. Everyone knew now, after last week's...demonstrations...in the Great Hall. Lyddie pulled herself a little closer to him.*

"Guess where I'm staying this summer..." *she whispered playfully in his ear.*

"I'd like to be able to say with me...But I guess its the Alexander's.."

*Philip whispered back. He was slightly dampened with the news, as he had managed to persuade his mother to move to Muggle London. That way it would be easier for him to go to Diagon Alley, and of course, Kings Cross Station. However, he kept a playful smile on his face.*

*Philip inched forwards slightly, pulling himself closer to her, just as she had done to him. His hand fell down and held Lyddies, both hands now together, Philip and Lyddie facing each other.*

...and the Oddness of others.
"Yeap..." *Lyddie said, planting another kiss on his lips, feeling his hands interlaced with her own. Oddly enough, she didn't want to leave this spot, even though the others were waiting for her...*

"I'll be around..." *she murmured.* "Be all over, so if you see me, just stop me wherever it is..."

"Dont worry...If I see you all over...Be assured Ill be all over you.."

*Philip kissed Lyddie gently, feet planted firmly to the ground. He defiently didnt want to move from the spot, but then he remembered his mum, probably waiting at the other said. He glanced down at his watch and saw the train wasnt destined to go for a while. He didnt think it would be near enough, but he would most probably have the train journey to say goodbye to Lyddie.*

*Lyddie grinned, looking deeply into Philip's eyes as he kissed her again, knowing he felt exactly the same way she did, not wanting to leave, knowing the end of the year had come far too soon.*

"You..." *kiss.* "Can't..." *kiss.* "Flirt..." *A hand snaked up to the back of his neck and she pulled him a little closer, the grin never fading, an almost curious look in her eyes.*

"Let's go get a compartment," *Lyddie said quietly.*

Re: ...and the Oddness of others.
"Only if were alone..."

*Philip replied, equally as quiet, the warmth of Lyddies hand making him shiver with heat. He grinned quietly, his teeth normal size. After the incident in the Great Hall, Philip had decided that his vampyric teeth wouldnt help him fit in. A simple spell and they looked a narmal size. However, to him they were as sharp as ever.*

*Philip's right hand let go of Lyddies, picking his trunk up, thinking of making it levitate. He didnt bother, as his wand was already in his trunk, and he didnt want to let go of her hand right then. He didnt want to let go until he had to.*

"After you." *He said, smiling and gesturing her to board the train.*

Giving you guys some privacy...
*Inside the train, wren drew the curtains on thier compartment, and shoed her siblings from the window, oddly jealous of Phill, but reminding herslef that she'd have plently of thime to hang with her freind when they were living together for the summer.*

((Since presumably the two of you mushies are getting a diferent compartment from the rest of us, I'm gonna go start a new thread, if you wanna visit us that's where we'll be. *Abducts Aaric.*))

((hehehe...*watches Aaric get abducted and waves to him*))

*Lyddie smiled, squeezing Philip’s hand gently, noting to herself that his usual fangs were normal-sized once more but not caring, her eyes unable to tear themselves from his face as she nodded idly to him, stepping into the empty compartment and helping Philip inside, grinning, dragging her own trunk inside and shoving it in a corner and closing the door leading out onto the platform.*

“Doors can lock…” *she murmured, pushing her back against the compartment door and locking it with her hands behind her back. Grinning still, she crossed compartment, and reached out, yanking the shade down.* “…And shades can shut.”

(( *Looks idly for boxes again* ))

"And we," *Philip said, grinning madly, knowing where that conversation was probably headed,* "Can kiss..." *He threw his trunk on top of hers, and crossed the compartment, towards Lyddie and the window which had the shut shades. He put his arms lightly round her waist, pulled himself closer and looked into her gray eyes.*

"So what have you got planned for us today?"

*Philip continued, his grin forever staying, as his eyes scanned all her features, eyes, hair, and most importantly to him, her lips.*
