Greetings fans!
My name is Tony, 36 and even though I live in the Bronx, I am a METS fan! Have been since my father (God rest his soul) turned me on to the Mets in 1973. I hardly remember '69 but was there during the "Ya Gotta Believe" era. I was there during the doldrum years of the late 70's (Zachary, Youngblood, Stearns, Espinosa, Randle, etc.), the rebuilding of the early 80's, the energy of the mid to late 80's, the doldrum years of early 90's as well as today and NEVER EVER went Yankee pinstripes when the chips were down!
I didn't go to games last year since my father had passed away and just didn't really care about baseball that year....nothing personal against the Mets but it did make me sad trying to watch a game since that was the bond my dad and I had. But I am ready this year...and even though as I type this the Mets are doing HORRIBLE, I will stick by them as I have always done and hope that they can turn things around!
