Glutamine Question
I thought I would start taking this for post workout recovery, then someone on another board told me this was a worthless supplement for recovery.

I'm so confused.

I was told it was a great supplement by Jen Hendershot. She takes it faithfully daily. I have also been told that you don't need to buy this if you are already using a protien powder because its in the protien. I see some list it and others don't.

I guess I am not sure either.

LOL - only adding to the confusion I guess.

Yes, Jen recommended it at her PHAT camps. I've heard other people take it, now others telling me it's a waste.

i find glutamine helps me recovery and jus stay healthy I have heard conflicting info on how much to take though..

i hear atleast 20grams ( 4 tsp) daily for someone who is active...LA what do you say??

oh and glutamine in protein powder isn't nearly enough for the body!!

I used it religiously for my BB comp and I believe it was one of the reason why I managed not only to maintain my lean mass but to build on calorie restricted eating plan;) Glutamine has been used in hospitals for bed ridden people to help them with anti-catabolism of their muscle. Plus it is one of the top aminos use dfor helping with healing of digestive tract..in leaky gut/IBS etc.;)
