Game 240
Fredcaillou (CP) vs Boromir (Allies). If time permits, a follow up of the game will be made.:)

Re: Game 240
This game is on hold because of my inability to register Pete. I really am trying. :)

In the meantime, what can folks here propose that will allow us to maintain some copy protection yet not require folks to re-register each time they re-install the game?

I feel that this Gates-style marketing doesn't become little ol' Imp Games. :imp

Re: Game 240
anything would be good... I've been waiting to re-register for the last 10 days... the delay grows irritating.. especially when Imp :imp himself cannot help me. :(

I am registered now.

Happily thwumping away at Stimpy's CP in TGW 201. It's kinda fun when UK reduces the Turks to just owning Thrace. Though the rail guns stationed in Damascus have no targets now.

to bad TGW doesn't have a 'disband unit' option, maybe.... reduce junk units to scrap for a marginal increase in IWB's??

Re: Game 240- Final note
Well, Boromir and the Allies really creammmmmed the Central powers and I. Just after turn R1, the Allies had already put the CP in their back pocket. Congrats on great moves by Boromir. He really demonstrated how off key I was and how much play has evolved since 1 year.

I would have to point out one frustrating element, I can just hear Stimpy, stumping... Hey I like that Stimpy stumping, Lol! I shouldn't be laughing at my own lines... Anyway. Gas was a mysery for the Germans. I had developped gas shells. In an attempt to re-take Belgiium from the British, my single gas canister got.... 1 hit!!!!!! How frustrating, If I had gotten 3 or more, this could have able me to take it back. But this result forced my retreat. Suggestion (yet another.....) Couldn't it be possible to garantee with gas shells a minimum of 3 hits with gas shells considering the important investment to gain this advantage. What do you think Imp ?

Again, nice show Boromir, this was a great wake up call. I will be I hope much sharper in our new game 247.

Denis

Re: Game 240- Final note
the unrelieble nature of gas frequently makes me think that Rail guns are the superior tier-3 tech. for 5IWB's you get a powerful attacking unit either on its own or as part of a general attack. The 2 space range makes defending or 'hiding' from R-guns a nightmare.

of course one has to plan for possible gas rolls and so the deterant factor is huge, sometimes.

as for Belgium in game 240: I was kind of hoping you would take it - leaving most of the western front Germans in harms way as the mightly French army looked to swoop in for a killing blow. I doubt there is ever anything good for the CP when UK takes Belgium by diplomatic means on Uk1.

End Game (gas use)
Again Boromir, great show. I will take into consideration your comment about Rail guns. It is perhaps correct that I should push this tech line instead of Gas. Will try another approach to the CP's.
