Ga. Teen Charged With Making Threats

LOVEJOY, Ga. -- A 14-year-old boy is accused of plotting a Columbine-style bloodbath at his high school, drawing up detailed plans to block the fire exits and then pull the alarm and shoot people as they tried to leave.
Other students at Lovejoy High told authorities that the boy was trying to recruit them and had diagrams and notes.
The plan was to "make history by turning Lovejoy into another Columbine," said Clayton County police Capt. Jeff Turner.
The boy, whose name was not released because of his age, did not bring any weapons to school but had access to a handgun owned by his father at home, Turner said.
Turner said police seized the boy's notebook, which contained his plans for the killings, including a photocopy of the school's fire evacuation plan.
Some classmates said the boy would often refer to a list of students he planned to harm.
"He had this paper that had like a lot of names on there, and he even told me my name was on there," Brien Still told WXIA-TV in Atlanta.
The student was arrested Sept. 18 and charged with making terroristic threats and conspiracy to commit murder. He was scheduled for a psychological evaluation.
Two teenagers killed 12 fellow students and a teacher before committing suicide at Columbine High School in Colorado in 1999.
