Female band gets beaten up at gig!
here is what happened according to a band member:
I am still in great shock over last nights events. I will never get the image of that guy pinning jenny to the hood of a car by her throat and hitting her across the face. then when jen proceeded to get him away from her, he punched her in the face as well. His fist was aimed for me next until he realized I was screaming at the top of my lungs for him to stop. keeping in mind, Rich (their manager) was being attacked by 6 bouncers kicking the shit out of him this whole entire time. I have never been in such fear of my safety and my band's safety. Never did I think I would ever have to face a 6"5 steroided out dude's fist about to come at me after he had just pummelled my friends.
This treatment absolutely sickens me and we are going to take every action to see that justice is done. PLEASE spread the word about Arizona's in Thorold, Ontario. I would hate to see this happen to anyone else there. Thanks for your support!

On July 6, 2002 at Arizona's in Thorold, Ontario, two members of the band, Tuuli and their road manager were assaulted by one of the club's bouncers. The confrontation started when the club was enquired about a legitimate matter involving the band's contract. From there their manager was assaulted and while trying to defend him, the two band mates were punched in the face. This should have never happened and could have easily been avoided! Please sign this petition and boycott this establishment. Let them know that behaviour like this will NOT be tolerated!
