I like the Baron, he was just so odd. Not being able to distinguish for wolf to human a whole lot and all that.
(By the way I put up only the main astritocrats, I know some others could be argued, but this should cover the main ones)

Oh, c'mon! Hehe, I liked Lady Margolotta. She was so great! I mean, not that she helped Vimes out of the dungeon or anything. Oh, no...a vampire wouldn't interfere with the werewolves or dwarves...And she would never say anything un-diplomatic. Of course not!

M was cool but I really really didn't like the Baroness. I usually "like" evil characters like Wolf (Like isn't quite the right word) but she didn't graduate to evil and stayed on the characters-I-want-to-fall-in-a-pit side. Wow, I didn't know I disliked her that much till I thought about it.
The Low King was good, hey it's rooyalty Vime's doesn't want to anhililate! Though I guess dwarf royalty isn't like human royalty.

Evil characters can be interesting, but I didn't like Serephine too much either. She was just kind of psycho- Wolf was cool though, in that evil sort of way.

Uh, no. Wolf was just plain nasty! I mean, no. You know me SPF, you know I tend to go for the er- less law-abiding characters at times...but HIM?! No, no, he killed his own sister! Oh, please. And, to add to that, he was completely insane...
Re: Lala
I'm not saying I'm with love with him. HECK NO!!! The MC was cool in general. Wolf is just an interesting character in that evil sort of way. I'm in no way sad he died though. At times he was definately creepy, but he was still an interesting character. I liked the way he died, that was kinda funny. I can picture it too (-er not the explosion, but him jumping after the flare)

The explosion would be kind of...icky. Wolf was completely manic but you knew that bits with him in were going to be good. Thats were the coolness came from.
And the bit were Vimes didn't say anything where he died because that would be murder? That was good because you can tell its so much more than the "Insert baddie death here" scene that you get in oh so many things *coughactionmoviescough* that are kinda just what you expect at the end of the plot.

"insert baddie death here"?! LOL! I love it!
I know what you mean, though. It's like TP's books in general. At first I thought they were just really funny books, but they are SO much more than just hilarious. They have darn good plots and they aren't exactly 'typical' anything either.
Let's hear it for Lady M
I decided to be highly original </sarcasm> and voted for Margolotta, because, frankly, what's there not to like? And anyone who is described by A-M nobodies as "some sort of a lady friend" (*nudge nudge wink wink*) to the one and only Havelock Vetinari has got my vote.

The Low King
I dunno. I just liked her. And he's the cleverest of the lot. And I think he has really stirred things up in the dwarf community since the corronation.

Oh my! I wonder what all those horriblt traditional dwarfs would think of Carrot. The Low King would be an exception, but all the others...

Everyone loves Carrot. Even the 'deep down' dwarves would, I haev no doubt. After all, his IS a dwarf. Even Cheery said that he's a dwarf and dwarves don't mind is he wants to be human too...or something like that...

go baron von uberwald
call me odd, but i always find the completely mad characters the best.
this was the best description i could find of him.
"The duke had a mind that ticked like a clock and, like a clock, it regularly went cuckoo."
what isn't there to love in a guy who has a dog, a man, and a werewolf as children, not to mention could put up with the baroness.
my all time favourite scene from all the uberwald books, particularly T5E, was detritus with his crossbow.
that many arrows... the poor gates didn't stand a chance
Re: go baron von uberwald
I just liked the siege engine in Night Watch. Least, I liked it *after* what Vimes did to its oxen. I like some of the more exotic dwarf breads too. Drop-scones rule.
The Broken Drum
I'm a freak, an aggrivation. It seems I made the right decision.
Pink Lady
Lady Margolotta! What could be funnier than fuzzy pink sweaters on undead nobility? Plus her duality kept you interested; you didn't know if she would turn out good or bad.
