.:Erfgerk:.
Clattering metal was heard throughout a large room as a long blade landed at bare feet, dust rising up off an age old floor, torches lining crumbling walls being the only source of light. Carmilla's head snapped up, her dirty yet unscathed face curled into a contemptous sneer. "Tahw si sih't?" A hoarse voice left her throat - the voice of the tired and unwilling, black eyes that were usually glossed over with something, dead to the seer, holding no signs of life or love at all.
"Sih't si ruoy nopaew, g'nihton esle." A voice that belonged to red orbs floating idly in darkness replied. A cruel and aged voice, one that held nothing but hate for the creature below it. "Fi uoy t'naw e'vil ot ees rethona yad, neht uoy retteb yats e'vila." No more words left the mouth of the dead and a shambling was heard, a shambling of old bone and worn material, a shamble that meant more of them were coming. "Sretsnom..." Carmilla breathed shortly after, the sound of chains and old wood filling her ears, she turned and ducked low, her thin fingers finding the hilt of the weapon layed before her, picking it up and readying it for whatever was coming out from the gate rising on the opposite side of her darkened, enclosed arena. A soft hissing wafted from the arena gate and Carmilla turned around fully, one hand holding the simple metal longsword at the hilt, twisting it around in her hand, preparing herself for battle. She stepped back slowly, knees bent and eyes narrowed, now knowing why they fully healed her - they wanted her to fight - and she was glad they did. Two figures swept from the opening, neither of them holding any visible weapons but....
One lunged, ragged robes flitting loudly through the air sounding terribly like bats wings, thin brown jaggedly nailed fingers reaching out, mouth open and wide - no scream leaving it - just the scent of old blood and the horrid sight of wickedly curved canines. "Sretae Dool'b..." Carmilla's eyes went wide and she side stepped, raising the one handed weapon, bringing it down at a diagonal angle across the creatures back, blood spilling from a thin gash - tiny patches of white and dull gray; that was the vampires skin, showing through the now ripped robe. The other came from the back, long fingers finding Carmilla's neck, hot, dead and musky breath being released on the womans shoulder - she nearly gagged, the smell was unbearable, but the feeling of pointy teeth against her skin was just too close for comfort. Carmilla's right leg immediatly came up, straigtening against her body, her shin hitting the Vampire in the bridge of its nose knockint it back. She turned, her free hand coming up to quickly check her neck. She was fine for now. She turned, seeing the other creature get up from his sprawled position, hearing it his loudly, watching as he craned its neck around to look at her. Carmilla pulled her gaze away, dull black eyes looking for something, the other vampire leapt forward, having pulled out from its daze, that kick only affecting him for so long. Carmilla's blade came straight up, and she pushed forward, metal biting through flesh, tearing through unused organs and coming out of the vampires dead skin, running him completly through. The Vampire was not dead - though - and Carmilla faintly heard the triumphant chucklers of her 'keepers' over the loud wailing the vampire on her sword was now doing.
Once again consumed by a foul stench Carmilla lifted her leg, her bare foot coming up and pushing against the leathery skin of her attackers neck, pushing it off of the blade she so desperatly needed right now. The other vampire was upon her now, chipped, broken and savage nails tearing into the skin of her arm, blood gushing even from the small wound. Carmilla's wrenched her arm away as best she could, her foot still pushing against the other's neck. "S'iht ko'ols ekil eht dne rof uoy Eno Krad." Many red orbs began disappearing, her watchers knowing she was defeated, not bothing to stay and watch, ancient minds already planning ways to experiment on her body later. Carmilla continued to struggle, eyes closing as she felt a dry hungry tounge glide up her skin. Did she want this? Why not? She would be dead and out of this place, she would worry no more...but. She opened her eyes. "On...I l'liw ton eb detpurroc..ton ekil s'iht." Her voice danced out of her lips loud enough for everyone to hear. "I l'liw ton!" The Necromancer screamed and lifted herself off the floor hands and using the blade lodged in her attackers chest to prop her up against the wall. Her now free left leg snapped forward and up, then left and right, kicking and breaking the vampires nose, bruising both cheeks. Her left arm came up, acute senses feeling something bearing upon her, sharp bare elbow snapping out and crunching into the mouth of the other blood eater, knocking it back, attention turning back to the still dazed creature she pulled her sword from its body a large bloodied cavity in its chest, she slid back down the wall, both hands gripping the hilt swiping in a tight arc both heads of each Vampire falling off, her weapon clanging loudly on the wall as it connected with it.
Carmilla slid to the floor, eyes closing, hearing dirty clothed bodies flump to the floor, tiredness consuming her, anger and sadness rising as well. "S'ehs evila." The rustling of cloaks were heard and the red dots returned. The woman groaned and shifted her legs, her arms curling around them, keeping them to her, her head resting on her knees. "H'sinif reh." Carmilla's head snapped up. "Eh?!" She stood quickly eyes wide and locked on the floating lights that were eyes. "Era uoy ton deh'sinif, t'nevah uoy nees h'guone!?" She questioned loudly, not believing the motives of these monsters. Carmilla was only leered at, old crooked mouths not moving, her question being answered by a low grumbling roar. She wheeled around black eyes wide and not believing what they saw in the dim light. Large lion paws tore at the dusted ground below while a groved spiked tail arched around and pointed at her, wings bat loudly, clouds of dust forming around the maned creature. It was a manticore. Carmilla immediatly went for her dropped weapon, but took no other incentive, those creatures were far too dangerous even for her, with a loud heavy sniff and a ground shaking roar the creature emerged fully, gleaming red eyes glowing the slight firelight seeking out its prey.
It found her, barely dressed and holding a puny sword, its intentions clear and unhinged, it bounded towards her, mouth full of teeth and sallva wide and releasing another ear splitting roar. The Necromancer flinched and then sprang into action - literally - her feet pushing her foward, body curling up, sword being flattened against the ground - she dove under the Manticore, her body trembling violently at the feeling of its fur from its underbelly sweeping her skin, she stood and wheeled around, sword again coming around in another tight arc, last strengths backing the blade, she cut off the scorpian crafted tail that was now pointed towards her. A loud pained roar left the Manticor's maw, foamed saliva and fire rushing from its stench heavy tounge and throat, it scratched at the ground, taking the pain in its own way. Carmilla took this time to run, and fast towards the open arena door, bare feet carrying her swiftly across the room, her mind or body not letting up, the creatures heavy strides pounding in her ears. She turned back a last time watching the creature chase, her eyes wide, heart almost stopping it its demon like appearance, she snapped out of her daze as it roared, her blade being used a final time - cutting into the chain and wood that made the support for the iron caged doors, they came time, spiked settling into their pre-created holes, the Manticore screeching in pain once again as most of the pointed metal drove into its paws.
Carmilla glared defiantly at the red orbs that stared back at her, she grinned slightly and turned, bare feet taking her body down a pitch black corridor - eyes unaffected by it, seeing perfectly in the dark surroundings, she turned a corner, eyes frantically searching a better way to go, left and right were too obvious, she couldn't go up, nor down and definatly not back, she continued forward, finding a large wooden door, pushing hard on it, entering another nearly black corridor, she muttered darkly and rushed forward eyes not seeing a way out, hope failing, energy draining from her.
A barely audible click that was heard only due to the absence of footwear, a warning sound that came too late. The sound of metal scraping on stone filled the corridor, its ear wrenching volume deafening, a deep booming clang as portcullis's dropped and slammed to into the ground before her, missing the fleeing necromancy by a bare foot, their speedy fall beyond the means of simple gravity to accomplish. She turned, breaths heavy, heaving air into aching lungs. The passageway she had come from sealing moments after, a second portcullis, this one presenting strange metal spikes toward her, time seemed to freeze then, halting as Carmilla's eyes searched desperately for some sign of escape, yet knew there was none, she had been trapped. Sealed into a twenty foot long patch of corridor with no way to free herself.
"sepacse llahs ton eb detarelot." Dry rasping plucked at the stillness, rustling of ancient robes, a figure stepped slowly into view just behind the portcullis that blocked her way back, their decayed exquisite quality and style drawing images of funeral attire, bound in red and gold, rags of finest satin and silk clung to the figure, a heavily jewelled neckpiece of purest gold glinted in flickering torchlight, illuminating, for the first time, one of her tormentors. Yellowed bone, clung desperatley to by spartan, scattered rags of leathery flesh, rags that in places hung loosely and stiffly from the beings age-old carcass, its mouth opened, jawbone clearly visible, voice obscuring the sex of this creature as its dried rasping cackle filled the air. Metal strips across the souls of sable flesh boots clicked against the stone before it came to a halt, several inches behind the strange portcullis.
Red lights, pinpricks of harsh light buried deep with the infinite void that were its eyes, sockets blazed at the captive, raw malicious evil burning brightly, sapping at the defiant strength this woman had just shown. Withering her will to continue with her improptu escape, with deliberate, breath taking slowness a hand lifted, ancient bone of the index finger pointing at the womans heart, knowing where that organ lay and somehow, she felt a pang shudder through that muscle, the cold of void oblivion running through her veins for the barest of moments. Ceasing as the finger continued its movement, lifting to display boney palm to blackest eyes.
"nehw lliw ouy nrael?" it asked, points of white light forming at every one of the twelve spikes, white roiling with yellow, energy that licked across metal to pool and gather together. Humming beginning to whine at the air, unseen by Carmilla, the humming came from behind her, the first portcullis displaying twelve indentations, concave dips into the metal, their purpose, and the purpose of this contraption becoming clear only when, moments later twelve lines jagged through the air, the speed of lightning, they streaked across the gap, no inch of this 'chamber' spared from their flickering, forking lines. Raw magic, uncast and unformed striking the necromancer without pattern or rhythm, searing, burning agony, the power of the universe, the force behind the stars, the void of black holes, contained and unleashed. Carmilla's screams rocking the metals, wrenching from her throat without the slightest hope of pride being maintained, agony filling her to the brim and flowing from her as she slumped.
Red pricks of light following her, watching with obvious glee, and studious desire to observe and remember this womans every action and reaction. "Ouy tsuj deen oot ees eno ginht. Ew teg tahw ew tnaw, dna ew tnaw rouy sterces." Its hiss barely heard over the screams, heard but not heeded as her mind washed over, only knowing in that moment what pain felt like, only knowing how to writhe and scream as strenght failed and her knees buckled, crashing her down to meet the cold, hard stone, bouncing slightly as she hit it, unable to catch herself, wrist crunching painfully beneath her. Even there though, those jagged lines could not be escaped, writhing in the air, still striking her with indiscriminate timing, burning her nerves, burning her flesh.
"Ew llahs ekat eton?" a second rasping from an unseen companion, a rasing that was answered by dry rustling and creaking of cracking flesh, the first nodded its head, death gaze never leaving its victim, this master of the undead observed without care.
