Em's Journal
Well why not join in i reckon:)

Ok i am at the end of week 3 in my program, I create my own programs and change it up regularly round every four weeks or so:)

I am already thinking about my next program? I'm think low rep heavy weight? I really enjoyed that about my first program as i made huge gains in muscle but also in strength so i want to go back to that!

I have been into getting healthy for about 1 1/2 years but only now have i become serious about losing fat and gaining lean muscle:)

I am going to see how i progress and shape up and then decide about competing, i have made huge improvemnts already but compared to you comp girls and boys i am miles off!

I started my journey at 130kg i am now under 85kg as of today YAY so a long way to go!

So thats enough about me i'm off to checkout the rest of this site;)

Re: Em's Journal
At the moment inmy part (victoria) is rather cold and wet, but thats what the gym is for;)
I am such a sook when its cold LOL
I live in a small town thats not really into women and heavy weights so support and decent PT's are very hard for me to find so thus i use the net for all my support:D
Lets just say that my current PT was so shocked at the program i wrote for myself she said there was no point her writing me one:eek scary!!
I do love it here as it isn't to hussle and bussle its rather quiet and friendly:)
I will make sure i update regular and keep you all posted on my progress which right now i am organising my new program:D exciting!!
Heavy weights here i come;)

Re: Em's Journal
Thats funny about the pt comment--It's just hard in general to find a really good pt's!! Good for you for designing your own programs...its all a learning process and you know your body better than anyone. You have 100% support here for the woman and weights!!!

Great questions fitforlife...As we've never travelled to Australia but would love to as well one day..its on our list of destinations!! I hear you about the cold and damp weather--I'm not a winter person here, can't stand the snow!! I would give anything to move to a warm climate:) :) Thank goodness spring has finally arrived here:)

Good luck organizing your program--if you have any questions when designing your program just ask Darrin in the training thread:) :) Keep us all posted on your progress we are all anxious:) :)

Re: Em's Journal
Thankyou LA for all your support its wonderfull:D

Well luckily we never have snow here! so i guess compared to what your used to you it would probably feel like summer here LOL
But i am a woosy;)

I was actually thinking of traveling to america to come and watch some of the wonderfull bodybuilding comps you have there:D

Were i am in victoria there is a few comps and i am actually going to my first one in july for an early birthday prezzie:D i can't wait as i will be meet the lovely Raec and Lia and lots of other lovely girls from the blogging world:D and i will post some pics and give you all the goss as i am so excited!!!

These women along with LA have been such a huge inspiration and have really helped me to put my goals in concrete:D And also get organized which has been a huge help!! I now own the biggest collection of tupperware and my freezer is always stocked and so to is my esky as its my new fashion accesory LOL

My new program is coming along nicely thanks LA, I am doing a four day split, i have also decided that abs and legs need that extra attention so have split that into two workouts a week as well as they are big muscles and need all the work they can get;)
At the moment i am rather a funny shape as my top has shrunk dramaticlly i have gone down about 6 bra sizes:eek and now my legs have toned up and shrunk heaps no more yucky cellulite:o so now i am just waiting on the middle bit to start loosing some serious inches!!! because after having my daughter my belly dropped and looks alot like an Arse LOL!!!

But dont you worry it will be gone in no time hehe;)

I would really love to lose weight and tone up and not have to even think about cosmetic surgery!!!

So fingers crossed:D

Re: Em's Journal
Glad to hear your new routine is underway!! Sounds good--those legs are tough, they are my weekest area and I've been trying so hard to bring them up..:)

Going to the shows is sooo inspiring:) Seeing all the athletes stage ready just makes you feel so proud of them all.

Skin takes the longest to tighten up..but don't worry--it will in due time:) I use a lot of different creams and lotions to start tigtening my skin a little faster towards my competitions.

Have fun with the new routine!! :)

For tightening up my skin, I use a product called Thiomuplex, it is copied after the original Thiomucase cream which has been used for years to help tighten the skin.. A lot of salons in Europe use it as a non-invasive face lift. This stuff is great!!

Re: Em's Journal
Hi there,

Fitforlife, when i made up my first program i kept it simple and stayed with machines that i knew, I'd also completed a four week bootcamp so had learnt a few new things there mainly the importance of freeweights:)

The other thing i did was heaps of research about muscles and how different exercise work the different muscles, I also asked heaps of questions!!! I have a blog where i get alot of support from some wonderfull comp girls (thats how i met LA) so i asked them to help me out, they gave me the courage to explore new weights at the gym and to learn more thats why i decided to become a PT when i get to my goal:D

Thanks Buffone,
I'll make sure i keep you all updated hehe i love to chat LOL

Well today is muscle growing day and a lite cardio session, I tried my new program lastnight and it is the bomb i loved it:D Tomorrow i am off to try out the new gym as i am tierd of all the broken shabby equipment at my gym and thankfully my memership is up in 19 days but whos counting LOL

I am going to soak my poor sore body and then sit down with a nice hot cup of green tea before i get stuck into my day;)

Catch up with you all soon:D

Re: Em's Journal
Really well :D thanks LA,
I am going over all the paper work and stuff tonight and then i thought i might checkout the other gym body and soul its called, the only problem with these gyms is they are very prissy, like there is girls with makeup on and perfect hair and nails and i dont think you would ever seem them sweat let alone pick up what i would call a real weight! So i am alittle wary of what to do!!!
Not to mention trying to find a descent PT to workout me out!!! Talk about hens teeth i reckon! I was actually thinking of spending the money on a online PT and see how that works out???
I would also love a gym buddy but no-one i know is into the gym like me! And not to be rude but i want someone that will push me and in return that i can push back LOL
But i am sure in the next week or so i will get everything sorted out and i do work well on my own i mean to say i have lost 45kg on my own so its more the company of a like minded person i think:)
Well must be off i have cooking to do have agreat day everyone catchup soon:D
