Dueling Pen
An Unusually small, and graceful Elf glided out from the darkness. An evil smirk plastered across, its hidious face. It's eyes gleeming with menace as it made it's way over to the group of captives. It stopped a metre from the pen where they were being kept, hoping to give them the false hope that nothing was going to happen. After a minute of staring at them, it made as if it was going to leave, turning it's back on them.
"What did you say?" It asked excitedly, turning back to the group who had said nothing.
"Who said that?" It continued it's voice hard yet filled with a strange tone that gave the distinct impression it was enjoying what was going on. It threw open the pen and took the closest person, shoving two deformed fingers up his nose. It began to drag him away.
"FOLLOW!" It screamed to the rest of the captives, as it continued to drag the boy by his nostrils towards a dark patch.
Reaching its goal, the elf threw the boy like a hammerthrow. He flew throught the air without my hassle and landed in a pile of bones.
"TO WORK!" it cried harsly. The bones that weren't scattered, looked strangely like that of an incredibly large snake. The Elf took hold of another student this time a young girl by the ear, and dragged her towards the bones.
"Construct a pen!!!" It screamed angrilly as if they should have know what was coming. "AND DO IT QUICKLY!"

Re: Dueling Pen
James sighed silently. There were forced to make another pen, so he started his pace as before. He was being careful from the beginning, learning how to work fast and with care from the last pen they constructed. He was curious though, since they had already made a pen where they would eat and sleep, what as this one for?
Re: Dueling Pen
*Wren rubbed her ear, but was greatfull her nose was spared the treatment the other boy had recived.*
"ouch" she said softly.
*She walked up next the the G.I. Joe boy from earlier, and set to work.*
"Gee, it's you and me again." she whispered to him.

Re: Dueling Pen
The Elf slide over to the incolent girl who was talking. It pondered wheither she'd learnt her leason from the ear grabbing, obviously not. It took a leather whip from it's back pocket. With perfect aim, it cracked the whip upon the disobediant girls back.
"You shall not talk, You shall WORK!!" It screamed it's bad breath radiating through the air.
"ALL OF YOU HURRY UP!!!" It screamed. "Or you will suffer the consequences," it said softly but with incredible glee, as if daring someone to disobey.
*Wren crumpled under the blow, but scrambed quickly back onto her feet. Without thinking, as she set back to work, Wren opened her big mouth once again.*
"Two Words: Brush your teeth!!!" she retorted under her breath.
*She knew it was a mistake the moment she said it. First, that was three words, second, there was sure to be more pain on the way.*

Re: Dueling Pen
The elf laughed at the girls mouth. It walked over to her and began blowing gently in her face as she worked. The hideous odour swimming around her nose, like an attackive perfume.
"How about this," it said, trying to seem slightly more friendly for at least a few seconds. After a few seconds of this friendly nature, the Elf grabbed her by her short hair and began dragging her over to the skeleton.
"You see this bones?" it cried, it's voice harsh yet, happy. "There could be another one slithering around here," it mocked the human and its natural instincts, fear.
Re: Dueling Pen
*Wren gagged at the scent of his breath which swirled around her head as she tried to work. She flinched when he grabbed her by the hair, nearly dropping her wand. It was a reflex action, as in retrospect it didn't hurt nearly as much as the ear treatment she'd earlier received. By virtue of the short length of her hair, the elf had been forced to grab a great deal of it in order to pull her agains her will without his hands simply sliping free of her hair, evenly spacing the force of the yanking. She saw the bones, this time close up, and she heard the joy in the elves voice. But his logic was quite flawed, because Wren was already just about as scared as she could get, so the marginal fear factor of any aditional threat was quite low. If the elf wanted her dead, he could do it himself. He didn't need the help of some big snake, and if he just wanted to cause pain, the pain in her back reminded her, he had the whip. 'And his breath!' chided a tiny voice inside her head. But she said nothing, the treatment she recieved having at least given her the extra bit of fear necicary to bite her tounge.....at least for now.*
((Hair Pain Vs. Ear Pain assesment based on the asumption that Wren was facing the direction she was being pulled, after extencive research. Now I'm going to take a Tylonol and put an ice pck on my ear.))

Re: Dueling Pen
The Creature toyed with Wren a little longer, pausing only to pick up a large bone. It let Wren go, hoping she'd scurry back to work confused
"ALL OF YOU," It cried loudly. "HURRY UP!!!!!" It screamed as it looked upon an almost complete pen. It cracked a whip upon a non deserving youngster, hoping that it would stir them into working faster.
After a few minutes the pen was finished. Gazing upon it, the creature grinned evily. Quicker than the eye could see, it grabbed two students whom it had seen talking in the pen. It dragged them into the pen and called to one of the mages who'd been stuffing his face in a dark courner. It whispered something in the mages ear, while it watched the students.
Effortlessly the mage, produced a bareer -not unlike a forcefield - that prevented magic from being used outwardly. The elf threw the two students some wands, and cracked its whip while ginning evily.

((Um...deleat this or something if I'm totaly off base, like if I'm supoosed to stop posting so much and let somone else in.))
*Wordlessly, Wren quickly finished the work on the pen with the other kids. Later though.... the earier shock having worn off she began talking once agian, whispering acctualy, when a hand gabed the neck of her turtle neck and tossed her back into the pen they had just built. A wand, not her own was thrown at her feet and an order was given for her to duel the other child.*
"Uhhh....Whaddid you say?" she asked unsure of the orders validity.

Re: Dueling Pen
The Creature walked over to her grinning.
"You heard, deul, and I espect it to be good," It said its words harsh and a tone that sounded like rocks rasping across each other.
"Because the looser, will go with food for the next two days," It laughed harsly.
Re: Dueling Pen
"You gotta be kidding!!! He/She didn't do anything to me!!! What the bloody hell does this accomplish?" She asked, her tone not yelling, but insistent.
((Can I get an opponent here?))

*Edward worked hard as he was ordered to, he has lost a lot of weight, and the healthy glow he used to have is gone, replaced by lash lines and dried blood from beatings. Moving the bones and helping to make the ring, not thinking about what they were making it for.
He was pushed into the ring after the girl, told to duel.*
"B-but I-I-I don't know how to, I'm only a f-first year, an-and what will it d-d-do?" he stutters,
*tears brimming in his eyes, holding his wand in his shaking with fear clear in his face. He had never imagined such cold, cruel evil could exist, he had always thought evil was just a story, that nobody really could be capable of doing this to somebody else.*
Re: Dueling Pen
Rhiannon stepped up for the boy, Edward. She pushed her sleeves up a bit and looked at the creature.
"I'll duel for him. I know far more spells than he does, and it will work more towards your amusement." Rhiannon said, choosing her words in what she hoped was a diplomatic way.
"Wren, I'm seriously sorry if I didn't consider you first. I thought maybe you could handle yourself, and that maybe the first year would be better off eating for the next two days! And we're all a team in this, remember? I'd willingly go without food for a couple days if it meant that a younger, weaker, person could get their fill on MOSS!"
Rhiannon hadn't exactly meant to raise her voice, but she thought it very unfair of Wren to make her out to be the bad guy.
"I wasn't going to duel him anyhow! Didn't you hear me? Did you not here me say I refused to fight? I was going to forfieght, to let him win if I had to! I could handle myself, against him, OR YOU! But I wouldn't, I wont. He will have his fill, and NO ONE would have been hurt, aside from me, and then only a litte, what with his lesser abilities. Now I guess it is you who will get to maul me. either way, I lose. If you realy want to help, then stand _with_ me, not against me. Passive Resistance, Mahatma Ghandi."
*She paused only breifly to wonder if Rhiannon would understand her referance to a man she'd learned about in her muggle primary school. She turned back to the Elf.*
"PLEASE don't make me do this, if you put me in against either of them, I'll be useless to you. How can we do whatever it is you need us for if we are dead or unconios. I will not raise a wand against any of them. I cannot."
*She turned back to Rhiannon and Edward.*
"I simply cannot."
*The tears which had been welling in her eyes began to fall, and she turned back to the elf.*
"Please." she whispered through her tears. "please..."
((Yes, Wren is Muggle Born....well, as far as she or anyone else knows.))

Re: Dueling Pen
Rhiannon nodded.
"I guess we misunderstood each other's intentions." she said quietly, stepping a bit forward. Rhiannon was at a lack for words. She glanced over at Edward, and back at Wren.

Re: Dueling Pen
The grin was smeared right across its face now, enjoying this 'touching' display of loyalty and love. "I want to see you deul." it half-screamed at them all, "you and you will deul and you will watch, if I don't like the deul he doesn't eat for 4 days and I'll whip 'im good, if i like it an he an the winner gets blankets" It gestured madly for the duel to begin between Rhiannon and Wren, grabbing the pathetic boy by his ear and hauling him out of the circle.
"AN YOU!" he pointed at James, "YOU are deuling him next, an the looser of this one takes his place." Its grin split its face, nearly clapping itself for its genius.

Re: Dueling Pen
((Okies, assuming that we basically have to duel now, let's begin.))
Rhiannon bowed gracefully as was proper for a duel. She was posied and ready to send the first charm. Luckily, charms was a strong point of hers. She'd not try and hurt Wren, of course, just cause the Drow enough amusement to let them go back to the pen. Hopefully, Wren would get this message.
Rhiannon remembered the prank she and Violet had attempted. That would be her first charm, she decided.
"Abeo Caseus!" Rhiannon said loudly, swishing her wrist. The charm was an invisible one, and would only be understood when Wren tried to speak.
((I'm sorry, Wren. Your vocabulary is limited to the word "Cheese" now. It will remain that way for a half an hour or so. Have fun! Toodles!))

Re: Dueling Pen
*Wren went to shout at the Elf as Rhiannon's charm caought her.*
"Cheese! Cheese! Cheese?"
*Wren's brow furrowed, and she suddenly understood, the spell had fixed it so she could only say that one word. This duel could be amusing, if they kept using charms like that. But she couldn't say any of the incantations. To any other witch that would have wiped out their entier arsenal, but Wren had one trick up her sleeve. Conjuring by will. She pointed the wand she was using at the ground, and out of the end spat a stream of harmless, though disgusing looking Dung bettles, marching twards Rhiannon.*
"Cheese!" she said, smiling at Rhiannon, and waved her left fingers at her.
((Ok, yes Wren does do that, conjure by will that is. This was established at last year's Yule Ball. And she did it again over in the time lapes, which takes place after this, but I did the post before now, so I didn't just make this up. And Mr. Dark Creatures? You threw wands at our feet, but we had our own, so who's are we using now?))
