Death to the False Emperor of Mankind!
Standing in the field of waist high grass drenched in red blood for your recent victory the Dark Apostles cermoniously sacrifice each victim to the powers of Chaos. Each Apostle sacrificed the cadavers to their god and some to the powers of Chaos Undivided. Another glorious victory for Chaos. More blood, more death, more hate and more power to Chaos. It was all one could truly ask for in life.
Deep within a region of space known as the 'Eye of Terror' lie worlds that have been warped by Chaos malign influence. Daemons and cultists live on these little likenesses of Hell. Each daemon lord's world is tailored to him and can change on his whim. The meta-phsyics no longer apply here.
There are only two ways, stable enough, to launch attacks from the Eye of Terror. One is the Cadian Gate, which the Fortress world of Cadia, Nemesis Tessera an Inquisition Fortress, Belis Corona an Imperial Naval Base and Agripinaa an Adeptus Mechanius fortress world defend. And the Arx Gap, which is protected by a entire flotilla of Imperial ships and the world of Arx. After Abbadons Crusade exploiting this Gap in 139.M41 (40139 AD) the world has become much more protected.
