Me Know?
Yup all TJ's in Aust have the Dana44 stock....But mostly we get the crappy 3.07 ratio.
Although apparently some got lucky with 3.54, as far as I know EVERYONE got the same crappy 3.07.....
Teraflex. Well IMHO they make the best darn swaybar disco available. I'd like to get the 4:1 - but it's too rich for my wallet right now. I don't really like their long arm kits (too spindly), but their shortarm kits are good.
Re: .
my best buy off teraflx is the sway bar discos. can say much about other products.
love to have a 4:1 TXFER case, but they dont make one for mine.

Re: DANA 44
In Australia, DC sell the International version of the TJ Wrangler. The International release comes with the DANA 44 rear diff only. In North America, the TJ was originally released with the DANA 35 in the rear; the 44 rear was an option.
From 2000 onwards, the domestic version, (USA) has only the 44. However, the gearbox from 2000 on has been replaced with a more anemic version unfortunately.
I originally ran the Terraflex 3" kit comprising springs and arms in 1997. I wore out the first generation arms quickly and these were replaced under warranty with their second generation offering. The kit was excellent. That second set of lower arms now live in my ZJ Grand Cherokee and they have proved excellent for a bolt in kit.
Terraflex gear is first rate and Tony Whitehead at USA 4x4 in Melbourne is the Aussie Distributor. Check out theie 4:1 tCase conversion for the NP 235 in your Wrangler.

DANA 44
Hey TJPete,
DId the 3" kit allow you to run 33" tyres?
Was it legal on Qld roads?
I see some of the Aussie retailers of US aftermarket suspension say that they have RHD kits. If you are just going with the basic kit what needs to be adapted the RHD?

TJP,
Europe doesn't get the D44, not sure about UK (Ithink they might). NFI about other non-US countries.
I also didn't think the US had changed ALL TJ's post 2000 to D44 (but I could be wrong).
D44's
Believe it or not I think all TJ's sold in Africa come with 44 front and rear. I think DC sold them to suit local conditions. I'm just glad I have the 44 in da back! And when I slap in those 4.10's I got sitting in the dining room I'll be a happy chappy! NFI about post 2000 TJ options. Mine's a 96/97. TJPete interesting about the control arm kits. Didn't know that!
With 3" of lift you won't have any worries running 33's.

Re: D44's
all tjs sold in aus have a front dana30 and a rear dana44.
if they had 44's front and rear you would know about it.
and it is a np231 not an np235, well to be even more precise the np stands for new process and they have since changed names to new venture so i am not sure if we should call them a nv231 or not...
3" teraflex will let you run 33" tyres but there is a little more to it than just the lift itself.
