DOs and DON'Ts of Asking for Help
DO be specific in your subject line. This is a help board, so subject lines like "HELP!!!" or "I have a question" are not useful. Obviously, you need help or you wouldn't be here! Also, if everyone used descriptive subject lines, it would be much easier for people to search to see if their question has already been asked and answered.

DO read the FAQs forum first.

DO leave a link to the board that is giving you problems. If it's a specific forum or topic that has the problems, leave a link to that specific forum or topic. Please make sure your links work by clicking them in preview mode.

DO use the correct forum. User help is for problems with using your account, general user questions, and login/registration issues. Admin help is for problems with the standard features on your board and for questions regarding general administrator functions.

DON'T swear, scream, or type in all capitals. You will get faster and better help if you keep it calm and if you are polite.

DON'T post duplicate topics in more than one forum, unless you are directed to post in another forum. Posting duplicate topics in more than one forum only confuses the people that trying to help you.

DON'T post your problem or question as a reply to an existing topic UNLESS it is the SAME problem or question. Otherwise, start a new topic for your problem or question. Posting your problem or question in an unrelated topic will just cause confusion.

DON'T reply to your own topic for the purpose of bumping it up to the top. We work from the bottom up, so bumping your topic is only going to delay getting a response.

PLEASE DON'T use these help forums to make speeches or rants - they only take away attention from users trying to get questions answered.

DON'T leave links to boards that have porn or warez. To report any violations of ourTerms of Use, please use the legal form. Also, do NOT notify the offending board that they were reported - they might delete the evidence.

DON'T post security bugs or loopholes you found on this message board. Please e-mail these to james@ezboard.com or charles@ezboard.com. In the subject line of the e-mail, please put: 'Security Bug'. (Thanks for telling us about security loopholes!)

Thank you for reading. :)
