Hello!!!!! i'll have to change the link for you at my board!! was going to leave a link to my brother's web site he does blacksmithing and he has some nice pieces was thinking someone might be interested in looking at his site.. he's got a great coat rack that looks as if it would stand up to heavy duty use...
www.geocities.com/ksblack...index.html
as for me i recently got some books from the library on quilting and on sculpey..
does anyone know anything about sculpey.. my mom recently told me that she heard that it was not good to bake in your own oven as it leaves toxic something...has anyone else heard this?
anyway
blessings and love

RAINE,RAINE,RAINE
It is soooooooo good to see you. I am so sorry I haven't been over to your board, just been loaded with stuff and haven't had much time to get to my puter. I will go check out your brother's stuff, thanks for leaving the link. If you get a chance check the thread about yummy sugar free stuff. It's a cookbook by a Christian friend of mine, long story, but I'm trying to get the word out, so if you know anyone that would like to cut down on sugar/or HAS to and loves sweets, these recipes fit the bill.......they are yummy, I have eaten most of them at her house.
I am trying to make a web page for my gourd bowls, I've been told that some are gallery worthy........but alas, not enough time. I was given a new RCA digital camera and it is giving me fits getting the pics to one of my photo programs.........sigh......a new toy and have tospend hours trying to figure out what my puter is doing wrong. I'm excited about it, because I am no longer held back by, buying film and waiting for processing......now I can take pics of my gourd bowls as I make them and get them to a web page quickly.........hahahahahahahaha......first I have to figure out the camera and my puter, them build the pages ( not a quick process)
As far as the scupltey........I never heard that. I have used my oven with good results. I haven't done much with it, but why would the manufacturer tell us to use our ovens if it wasn't safe? They have to be careful, so there won't be a bunch of law suits on their hands. It is fun to work with. You can really only make miniature things with it....the bigger stuff doesn't dry well in the oven. I am looking forward to you posting what you are working on and what you learn as you go.
I sew too, but haven't had much chance to do so in a long time. Quilting is a lot of fun.........did you see the little bit we have on quilting? I believe it's in the sewing forum. If I remember right, there is a link to free quilting patterns. As I get to do some work here, I will e lleaving links to free patterns of all kinds.
love and God Bless you, Sandy

Hio hon...
you are still on the top of the list for prayer so let us know of any breakthroughs!!!!
I have this wonderful quilting idea for a wall hanging for my newest grandson Jack.. i'd like it to be the house that Jack built and then have toys that velcro on and off it.. age apprppriate of course!.
we have a digital camera too but i have no clue, i barely can take pics, took it to my mom and dads 50th and took NO pics, thank goodness though cousins already have some up for us to see.
also of the quilting books, one was of european designs and one was african design, i thought i could incorporate some of the patterns into the sculpey..
hopefully i am not just dreaming:0) LOL!!!!
love ya sis...

I love the idea about the house that Jack built quilt wall hanging. I really want to get into quilting. I have some books and magazines. I do have an artilcle on the pictures with quilting unless I gave those to Mary. Let me check.

Hi Patty...
you were on my mind thia am and here you are.. How are you? fine i hope...

well this weekend i actually cut some pieces of colored paper out to make up a mock quilt and i remembered why i don't quilt...LOL!!! i can't cut a straight line..
for some reason although i am right handed i cut with my left, i cannot cut with my right at all...
so anyway what i now think i'll do is just make a mosaic with these beautiful cut colored pieces of paper..this is why i am an abstractist...LOL
blessings on a beautiful day to you

Hey girls, been away a bit, but here I am ( for a bit )
Raine, so you are right handed and cut with the left....... ......LOL
you make a template.....if you have to make a square in one of your programs ( uh,oh, kitty is trying to type........AAAAA)anyway, print it out and use it as a template to cut your squares for quilt........hehehehehehehe!!!!!!! Works for other shapes as well!!!!!!!
Patty, are you going to make a quilt now? I hadn't thought about a photo quilt. A person could get the t-shirt transfer paper and make one that way.......huh? what a great idea!!!!!! Especially for little ones......make a quilt with all their families pics and names........cool and adda few pics of the child the quilt is for in diff stages of growth.......cool
God Bless freeservers for taking my gourd pic off.........boooooo!!!! oh, well, it may be down but not for long...........HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!
Sandy is feeling soooooo victorious today........Praise you Jesus!!!!!!!
