Re: Cooking with Niwi
I left the hot sauce with the whizzo butter in the store. Silly me.
Anyway, I've been trying to make some meatloaf too, from a recipe I got from mrs Nellie. It works more or less, but I think the ground meat is not ground down enough in Holland. Know any more special American dishes? Something your mommies make/made that you love?

Re: Cooking with Niwi
ok, I am assuming mexican food is not big in the Netherlands. I love making Quesadillas.... Two corn tortillas with a slab of cheddar in the middle. spray the frying pan with cooking spray and toast on both sides... top with salsa and sour cream. mexican grilled cheese!
You can put refried beans, scrambled eggs and or green chilies in with the cheese too.
course I guess in norway you could substitute toast and sardines...hmmmm do they carry salsa and tortillas in your stores?
Next week, Enchiladas...

Actually, mexican food isn't small here either; there are several restaurants that specialise in it. We've been to my sisters and went to a mexican restaurant there (375 g of meat for niwi).
Next week on Cooking with Niwi: My lovely assistant cherithh will show you how to make enchiladas!

Oooo, I am very glad you are not deprived. Over the last decade or so we have had an influx of hispanic folk... and thus tienda's etc... Yum...

Of course we have salsa and tortilla here. Every Friday at 4 pm there is salsa in Sandvika, courtesy of Didar.
Raveging rythmes I tell ya!
Tortilla is great, smashingly good food!
*EDIT* What, me? No, no, no, no. Ary! Sit! Good boy. Now; be quiet!

Well, I can tell you that they're not all that bad here Norway either
Dang! So someone finally found out that there are no lions and tigers in Norway. Well, I suppose we all knew this day would come eventually...The incomes from safari-loving tourists will be sorely missed though.
Wait! He didn't say anything about Parrots did he? Phew, good thing. Hey, anyone wanna come see the Norwegian Blue Parrot?!
Yeah, I need a name for signing up at this LotR RPG, and now I've got quite used to it, so I kept it for the global account too.
