Confused, you could say.
I have no clue where to begin. Let's see I was raised in a Christian family(went to a Christian school up to 6th grade *gags*^_^), my family are the kind that think all homosexuals are going to hell, etc. Which is something I don't think at all. Anyway not even a year ago, I think. I was getting really lost about what did I believe. I was looking up sites on different religions and what I found on Wicca, I was pretty drawn to and I found that site on Christian Wicca. Then I found how people say that it isn't possible. So after much confusment I finally gave up and went down the Aethist path. Lately though I have been going into deep thought(be very afraid when that happens^_^). And I got to thinking, there has to be something out there. So I had a friend give me some things on the Christian religion. But still I don't believe in it 100% what they say. Someone I know told me that if I became a Christian I would have to start harassing people to join the religion and start judging people and stuff like that. Then I remembered that site I found and read it again, and it almost made since. Then she read me something she found that said that if you are Christian Wicca to never think anyone will take you seriously and I tried to find different things, but of course that person always has to be right, but I don't know if she is this time or not. Out of both religions so far what I have found. It's like woah, ya know? And I mean come on not everyone is going to like every religion. Someone is always going to have something to say. A friend told me she thinks that there is one God. He is kinda like a prism(I think thats what it is), well there is one but its like when you put a prism up to light it shoots out into a rainbow. So she told me she was saying that there is one God who can be different ones, I am bad at explaining things, but maybe you may get what she was saying^_^. Ya know I really don't know where this post is going now *laughs*. Maybe I just need some help sorting things out, I dunno. And I hope I don't make anyone mad with this post^_^.

I'm pretty sure I have said this before, but when there is so much confusion sometimes it's better to just go with what you believe, you don't have to follow a strict religion or a group of people to have beliefs, either that or find something really flexible. Actually, from what I have seen so far it seems that both wicca, and christian wicca are very flexible, and when it boils down to being christian, well, we all know there is more than one definition of the word. My ex (who dumped me last night BTW, I shouldn't even be on here, I apologize.) lived with her 'rents who were, well, I referred to them as freelance christians, but even so, there is usually something out there even for the *cough.* most discriminating of tastes, and when it comes to not being taken seriously, you shouldn't let others affect your beliefs, it's hard though.

I Hear Ya!
Well, well, well....I guess I could deffinately say I HAVE been there. And this is what I came up with. Every religion is based on certain "rules" and principles, but not everone who is in that religion believes what they are "supposed" to believe. For example, there are sooo many Christians that believe in reincarnation...Pagans who believe Jesus existed (not as the son of God though), etc. But then what happens if you "break the rules"...are you still Christian or Pagan?? My theory...YES. I think that you can have beliefs from a bunch of religions...it doesn't matter! You don't need a "name" to fit in! When people ask me what religion I am...I say...A little of everything, even though I am so much more Pagan/Wiccan than Catholic! I think that the newer generations (like myself) can't be singled into ONE particular religion. The world is changing along with our beliefs. I think you should just grab what you believe from Christianity and what you believe from Wicca or any other religion and BE WHATEVER YOU WANNA BE (as long as you HARM NONE). Hopefully you could clear this all up soon!

Re: Confused... Hey Shadow...first you should really take the time to listen to your heart and figure out exactly what it is YOU personally believe. Although it is possible your *friend* was just trying to be helpful...pay no mind to what other people say about religion in terms of IF they are telling you a faith of two aspects of religion can not work if blended together. That is not always true. I believe that when your friend said you won't be taken seriously if you get into Christian Wicca he/she meant that you will be at risk of religious discrimination from both Pagans and Christians. That is true from what I have seen so far. But if you really believe in parts of both Wicca and Christianity then yes you should follow what is right for you. But only if you feel it is right for you...
