Dmitri stares out at the hanger and the mechanics busily working on MS’s and other vehicles. Dmitri couldn’t get Razel out of his mind, that fact that he’d lost his chance to avenge his family, and not only that, the fact that he couldn’t even get Razel back for taking that chance away from him. It killed him. His mind wondered to various places, various thoughts flowing through. He had to do something, he had to regain his pride, his honor, and most of all his revenge. He then opens the cockpit of Chort and exits the MS holding his sword close to his side.
Dmitri makes his way to the Queen’s office, where he planned to have a word with her. What word? He really didn’t know until he got there. As he opens the door he sees the Queen and immediately knows what word it’d be. He places the sword in its sheath down on her desk and looks her strait in the eyes, “I’m going on vacation.” She seems puzzled at first, not knowing what he truly meant, “OK,” she says slowly, “what’s this for?” She motions to the sword on her desk. “I want you to hold it for me until I return,” Dmitri puts simply. “OK, Dmitri. I guess you are in need of one, ever since…” she stops, not wanting to make Dmitri feel worse. Dmitri nods, then turns and leaves. The Queen sits there, looking at the sword in its sheath. I hope he’ll be all right. He really has had a hard time lately, especially since his spar with Razel.” She then runs her hands along the sword, thinking about Dmitri’s mental health. She puts her thumb against the hilt of the sword pushing at it to release the sword from its sheath. CLICK.
Dmitri got into Chort and sped off into the sky, not looking back to remind himself of the castle or of Razel. He had other things to do, and he couldn’t let his past get in the way of that. Cutting my bonds and regaining myself. Now is the time I get what was taken from me. Just then he hears an explosion. He sighs then heads strait up, away from the earth and the castle itself.
Natalya not only hears, but also feels the explosion rock the castle. She immediately thinks of the Queen, and being a servant of the crown she must make sure the Queen is safe first. “Stay here,” she says to Emma as she bolts out the door. She runs down the hall, smoke drifting her way. Oh, my god, it’s coming from the queen’s office! she thinks in her hysteria. As she turns the corner and sees the hole where the queen office used to be, she drops to her knees and starts to cry. Natalya might be a strong and independent woman, but she was also an emotional one too. Knights of the queen run past her and into what was left of the office. They immediately come back out, the sullen look on each of their faces causing Natalya to cry even harder. As more knights run down the hall, the ones who had already seen the destruction stopped them, saying there was nothing they could do. Natalya eventually got up, trying to get her composure, but failing miserably. She stumbles into the charred office, the smoke not helping her already watery eyes. And there, she could barely see, was the queen’s charred remains, scattered across the room.
