Celebrity Editions
Do you think the celebrity editions are ruining the new game shows? I am sick of their dry humor and just all that. I think September 11 caused all the celebrity editions, so money can be raised for charities. Give me your thoughts!

Re: Celebrity Editions
I think the celebrity shows are what have driven WWTBAM into the ground. It's pitiful when you see the celebrities cheat their way to $32,000 and (usually) seem lost beyond that point. Most of them seem to go to far and end up walking away with the $32,000.
Re: Celebrity Editions
The celebrity shows work well if they are spread out and held infrequently. Having 1/2 of the shows with celebrities (like WWTBAM did on the Mon/Thurs schedule) grows old quickly.
Re: Celebrity Editions
However, with some game shows like Match Game, having celebrities is part of the show. On Weakest Link, Millionaire, and other shows where celebrity episodes are "specials", if they overdo them, the show dies... fast.

Re: Celebrity Editions
Celebrity specials should be held down to one or two weeks per year. People enjoy watching celebrities play the game occasionally, but not all of the time. Soon, it seems the celebrities just care about being funny and not about winning $$ for the charity.
