CUT DOWN THE IMAGES!!!!!!
My goodness! This site is great, but the images need to be cut out! I'm on dial-up access, and this site is basically cutting the people who dial in out of it! It takes forever to load a page, and 9 times out of 10, I have to hit "Stop" so that I can just go on reading what's been written on these boards.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE limit the images on this site. It's way too frustrating to continue to read these boards if I have to wait for them to load the whole time.

i remember when i was using dial-up. . .it did take a while to load a page. but without the images this place just wouldn't look right

It isn't any image in particular, it's the fact that there's so damn many of them.
For instance, loading your sig takes a while for me.
Loading each page takes a long time because of the sheer amount of images.
Same for posting a reply, because all these options open up to the right of the box I'm typing in. This last one, in particular, could be cut out, with a link to a directory of smilies (many sites do this).
I'm not a very fast typer, but the page is still loading as I finish up typing this response.

i will see what i can do with some of the images........
as for the Smilies..... there is a thing on the right above them which are called "Radio Buttons" well 1 is labeled "Show" and the other is "Hide" if you click "Hide" it will do just that for the smilies.. hides them all!and only time you should click on Show is if you want to click on one of them.... or below that is that link to the Complete List.... that will Help Drasticly! because it remembers your preferance each time you post.... so if you have them hidden it will be hidden next time you post.... and vise versa for having them shown....... now if your going to "Show" them and use one.... when your done you should click on "Hide" when your done so when you click "Add Reply" it saves your preferances and keeps it on "Hide" if you have any other questions about that feel free to ask!

Hi Krunchy!
I have a T1 line at work and use a cable modem at home. I can only imagine how long this site would take to load with my old AOL dialup. YIKES. Hope you can stay around.
