CONTEST (closed) - Win your own forum at DSotM!!! Antilla has already won, but here were the details anyway...
THE CONTEST: A new forum has been created at Dark Side of the Monkey. Currently, it has no name and no content whatsoever. It is protected by a "password", a string of random characters, that only we administrators have access to... for the moment.
But, this passcode can be found by anyone. Any registered member can use it to enter the forum and post new topics. And, that's the basis for the contest: The first member to find the passcode and post a new topic in this new forum will be assigned moderator of the forum for one month. As moderator, this member gets to...
A) name the forum
B) write the forum description
C) decide on the topic/theme of the forum, if any
D) moderate all content in the forum for one month as he/she sees fit
In essence, if you win the contest, the forum is entirely yours for one month, provided the content is within the realm of relative civility (email us if you're honestly unsure what that means), and provided the theme of the forum doesn't involve any "bashing" of members, or intentionally hurtful content. The only other conditions are that the forum remain entirely public (no password protection), and that the forum will maintain the same design scheme as the other DSotM forums.
After the month is over, the content of this forum will NOT be deleted from Dark Side of the Monkey, provided the basic requirments are met. Pepper and I will leave every possible option open as to what will be done with the topics in this forum after the month is up. We may archive them. We may move them to another forum. And, there is a very slight possibility that we may even consider keeping the forum and its moderator in place for an extended time beyond one month. This is by no means a guarantee, but it is among the possible outcomes. As stated earlier, the only option we WON'T consider is deleting all content. The forum and the moderator might be temporary, but the content will remain a part of Dark Side.
Now, on to the tricky part: finding the passcode. The most important thing to realize is that you'll never simply guess this password. It's just a random string of letters and numbers, which have no significance unto themselves. You'll need to actually find this passcode, and you'll definitely know it when you see it. The only "hints" we're prepared to give right now are:
A) The passcode is available on-line (obviously)
B) It can be found at Dark Side of the Monkey*
* Keep in mind, "Dark Side of the Monkey" is more than just its message topics. You may need to think outside the box to find the clues.
And, for now... that's it! The password and the new forum are waiting for you...
In retrospect, "impossible" was an overstatement Antilla wins... yet again.
I don't think Pep or I thought someone would find the passcode that quickly, but... we are apparently blessed with the sharpest minds on the net here at Dark Side. Randall also found it, just a couple of hours after 'Tilla. Ebba made her way in today as well.
Althought it's a moot point, I guess we'll leave the hidden password where it is for a while longer if others are curious to try to find it (it's definitely worth the effort, if I do say so myself).
So, now we humbly await Antilla's commands. The forum shall be as he sees fit. Stay tuned all...

Why do I have the feeling I'm about to be banned from all future competitions at Dark Side of the Monkey...
This is always the toughest part of my job... Just a reminder:
10/28 will be the one-month anniversary for the Päpä Zülü forum, and therefore the final day of its existence. As stated, we won't delete any of the actual content. We'll simply move the contents to other forums, mostly Yak and Bull. And, then we'll remove the empty forum itself. This should all take place sometime during the evening (EST USA) of 10/28.
