The scorched parts should come off and float to the top. It has been a family joke for many years, that mom can burn water!!!!!!!! BRATS!!!!....LOL I have a set of revere ware pots and pans that I have had for at least 25 years......goes to show how often I buy pans........LOL The smallest one has been unusable since I burned water Now, I know what to do about it, Thanks Cathy!!!!!
