Bulletproof Monk, Rarities, and Thanks
Lest we forget the two guys who created BRIMSTONE in the first place...Ethan Reiff and Cy Voris have a new feature film coming out April 16 called BULLETPROOF MONK. It stars Hong Kong Hero Chow Yun-Fat, and is based on the FLY PAPER comic of the same name. Cy and Ethan were personally picked by Chow Yun-Fat and John Woo (who is producing) to write this flick. On March 1st, a full length preview was shown at the MEGACON in Orlando, and the crowd reaction was very positive. Let's all show our support for these two creative guys by getting every one to the theatres opening weekend. Drag your friends, twist the arm of your enemies...do whatever it takes to make this film a blockbuster.
Speaking of Mr. Voris...Cy was nice enough to send us about forty minutes of BRIMSTONE rarities. He's also given his blessing to upload it onto our web site. It's way too early to tell if we can get this linked up, but we sure promise to try. We all drooled as the cool stuff rolled. There was an alternate opening sequence, the original first meeting between Stone and The Devil (which FOX asked to be re-written and re-shot), the first meeting of Stone and Ash from POEM (re-written because FOX shuffled around the program order), and an unused ending for IT'S A HELLUVA LIFE. Lots more for sure. As I said, it's a long way away from being hooked up to our site, but we'll do our best.
Lastly, our thanks to all the kind folks who have voted for us in the PVTONLINE poll. While we do this strictly out of love for the series, it's nice to see we're doing something that pleases the masses. We're planning on making season three bigger and better, and we will do our best to keep this thing going until we get the last Damned Soul sent back to Hell. Stone deserves nothing less.
Thanks,
Phil Gee
