I thought I'd start a journal to keep me on track as well :)

It's been 2 weeks since my first competition and I'm slowly increasing calories to gain lean mass. I'm finding it pretty hard though. First of all I'm not all that hungry, then I find if I eat anything but chicken and broccoli my stomach hates me, I get bloated and don't feel great :S I figure I'll adjust soon....

My training is on track, training 5 days/week, no cardio, lifting heavy.

I came in 2nd out of 6 :)

Trained quads today pretty hard, wanted to train them a couple of days ago but my hamstrings were too sore lol.

I did 4 x 10 front narrow stance squats with a measly 65lbs lol I alternated these sets with 4 x 12 bodyweight sissy squats. Then I did 4 x 12 leg extensions with 70lbs. Finally I did 4 x 20 walking lunges with a 30lb barbell on my back :)

My stomach tried to kill me this morning.. I can't figure out what it is that it hates... I'm going to try cutting out any wheat/gluten and see if that helps. :\

I'm opening a gym with my bf :) www.freeformfitness.ca

So we just book a 1 week all inclusive trip to the Dominican Republic, we leave Monday the 19th at midnight from MTL :) An amazing deal we got and we know we won't be able to go for a while after this so we jumped at this deal!

I'm going to make my diet strict and carb deplete leading up to the trip so I look in top shape on the beach! Training and diet to gain will have to go on hold until we get back I guess!

I'm so excited! :rollin

oh LA - u know everything its amazing i wish someone gave me that advice when i went to mexico years ago!!! becareful with any unfamiliar food! BE SAFE!!! i spent most of my vacation sicker then a dog!!!

I just read in BGB other post that she's already travelled there, so i'm sure--she is quite aware of the water:x

I just started travelling when i met Darrin and our first trip together i was sooooooooooooooo sick-went to the Mayan Riviera..ohhh ...then last year We went to Punta Cana and I was fine but Darrin and 1/2 our resort got ill...then this year was Jamaica and besides me having a brutal hangover one day we were both just fine----until we got home and my tum was crazy bloated..took a few days to adjust.

Where else have you been BGB? Any other exotic locals?

Hey - I've been to Cuba once and that's it, 3rd time to the DR and can't wait, love it there :) I want to go to tons of other nice islands and will in time, but on a budget the DR and Cuba are where it's at ;) We got a crazy deal, $1000 for the 2 of us, taxes/fees included for a 4 star (I think it's mor a 3.5 though but that's fine!)

I've never been sick other than on the way home thankfully but I'll be sure to bring some meds just in case :) Immodium ... is that for the runs?

I'm going to aim for eating healthy and just endulging a bit in bad foods and lots in alcohol ;)

BGB - enjoy your vacation! I went to cuba around 10 years ago, I was violently ill for 7 days out of 15, combination of sunstroke and funny food!:rolleyes

Just watch what you put into that stunning bod of yours ;)

Haven't been totally carb free but I"m not competing here now am I? lol Had a protein bar each day and nuts, love them both too much!

I LOVE the Atkins bars, they taste like chocolate bars I swear :evil

Trained quads today and biceps/triceps yesterday. I'm not sticking to my split... just doing what feels right. I'll have a program to start when I come back :)

I"m already all packed lol and we dont' leave until MOnday at midnight from MTL.... too excited 8)

Wish I had time to train.... that's why I"m not writing much these days... or for over a month lol.

With our gym opening in a week or so I have NO time, I'm working like mad from 7am to 11pm :eek

Once we open I"ll train 5 days/week for sure...

This all means I don't think I'll be doing that level 2 show I wanted to do Nov 4th,,, :(
