Austin update 03/28 I am going to repost this one as well. I used to really love writing and now that the wonderful Evie has jump started the board..... well I just had to. As the memory of that night replayed in her mind, Joey wondered what would have happened. She was left to tell Pacey that she was moving to boston for a new job. Their relationship had taken a turn for the worse in the last year or so. She was so wrapped up in her studies that she began to neglect him. After he took the position on the boat as a deck hand for the summer after high school, she was left in Capeside with no one. On the first day of class she was terrified. This was not her surroundings. She had no one to talk to. To be her friend. She just wanted that piece of her heart back. The one that Pacey stole and was never going to return. As the teacher began the lecture he asked the room of freshman what they thought of love. "What a question" she mumbled to herself. It so fit with the place she was in. The teacher then pointed in her direction and she started to get jittery. She had now clue as to what to say. This was not happening to her. At that moment she said "well I think that....." she was interrupted. "No miss the young male behind you with the blue shirt on." Came the reply from the teacher. Joey was relieved. There was no way that she could give an answer to that question. Not one he would like anyway. "I think that when your heart hurts because you can not be with that person. When the first and last thing you think of before you go to bed or wake up is them. When you know that there is no one else that could make you more of a complete person. Then you know that it is true love. The best love of them all if you ask me." Joey could not believer her ears. It couldn't be. Not here and sure as hell not now. She slowly turned to see the face that went along with the voice. There he was. With the biggest shit eating grin on his face. He knew that she would take this class. There was just something about human emotions that would appeal to her. *********************** As the class ended Joey packed her things slowly trying to let Pacey get away before she would exit the class room. As she walked out of the lecture hall she looked up to see him leaned against the pillar in front of the doors. The first thought was to run as far and as fast as she could but something kept her there. Staring into those baby blue eyes. The smile on his face was not to be mistaken. He wanted her to know that he wanted her back. "Hey, Jo." "Oh god that name", she thought. "How does he do it?" Was the next mumbled thought. "Hey Pacey, what are you doing here?" "Not happy to see me." Pacey feigned hurt and confusion. "Yes, Pacey I am glad to see you. Just a little surprised is all. When did you get here?" "Don't you mean, How?" Pacey threw at her. He knew what she wanted to ask. He also knew that she didn't have the heart. "That's not what I meant Pacey." Joey looked down at her books. She was ashamed that those very words were crowding out any other questions. Pacey started to walk toward her. Joey turned to go to her next class and was caught off guard by the feel of his strong hand grabbing her arm. Turning her into him when she spun a little too fast and landed into his chest. His smell. "God he smells great." she thought. Joey lifted her hand to help push herself away from him. She realized that the boat had done him some good. She could feel his newly rippled chest muscles and realized the effect that it was having on her. She pushed away from him and turned again. "Pacey I have to be in class across campus so if you need something then fine but if you don't then leave me the hell alone." "Joey, that's no way to treat your ex-lover." The sound of that sent her temper through the roof. "You son of a bitch." "Jo, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way." "Whatever Pacey. See you later." She could feel the tears that were raging in her eyes. She took off to her car. She had a class to get to and that was all she should think about right now. ************* She finished her classes and was wore out. She didn't think of Pacey anymore and she was proud of herself. She walked to the car, pulled out her keys. Suddenly she felt a presence behind her and she knew who it was before she turned around. Before she could turn she was thrust toward into the car door. Her back was now pressed against Pacey's hard firm and sculpted body while her chest was pushing on the door. He leaned down to whisper in her ear... "I missed you so much Jo." He kissed her ear and then when she thought that she was going to cum right then and there, she felt his warm tongue run along her collar bone. "I missed you to Pace." "Really." "Yeah but right now I need to get back to the dorm. Pacey pressed harder and Joey became very aware of the raging hard on that was pressed to her ass. Gently he reached up and lifted her face to look over at him with his calloused thumb. He began to stroke her jaw and the looks between them where to hot to deny. Any one that was a passerby could tell they were in love. He leaned in and came dangerously close to brushing his lips to hers. A half whisper and moan came from his lips. "Have dinner with me Joey." It was more of a demand than a question. "Pace, I don..." "Josephine Potter you will have dinner with me. I haven't seen you in 7 months. I missed you." His voice sounded desperate yet sultry. "Okay, Pacey dinner and then I go home." Joey said glancing around to avoid looking into his eyes any more. "Pick you up about 7." "Sure, Howard Hall room 308." "See you then Jo." "Bye Pace." Re: Austin update 03/28 Pacey could barely breath. There was a huge lump in his throat. He had been waiting for what seemed like forever to hear her voice again. "Jo, is it really you?" Pacey could hear the long deep breaths that she was having to take. "Yeah Pace, its me." Joey was sitting down now so that she wouldn't have to worry about being steady on her feet. "Jo, where are you?" "Pacey I thought you already knew where." "Oh, I do. Look Jo, I am having trouble with words right now so come on and help me out here." "I love you Pacey Witter." Pacey was not ready for that. He expected her to say anything else except that. "How do you know that Jo? You don't even know me anymore." "But you still love me don't you Pace?" "Yes Joey I do, love you. I know how I feel but after that last night together, I can't be so sure that you feel the same way. What if you decide to leave me again. What if you decide that you need time or that I am not really the one that you love and you fly off the handle and walk out the door. What am I suppose to do about that?" "Pacey if you really felt that way then you wouldn't have put that message on your machine. You wouldn't have wanted me to hear it." "What the hell makes you think that message is for you?" "Tell me it's not Pacey. Tell me that you do not love me. If you can do that then I will hang up this damn phone and I will walk away from this situation only the wiser of the two. I will know that you don't and that you never......" she was interrupted by a sharp tone in his voice. "Josephine Potter don't you ever say that I didn't love you. I loved you with every part of my body. I ached when I had to leave you after high school and I yearned for you and for the feeling that I had when I was with you. I needed to know that I was loved. When you left you just disappeared. You must have thought that I was not worth the time to pick up the damn phone. You can't even pick up a pen and write one sentence to let me know that you are alive and well. You need to take a step back and look at the situation. Think of all that you have done with your life and then you tell me where the hell I fit into it. You tell me why the hell I should give a damn about anything that you have to say to me now or that you will ever have to say to me. Now after all of that what the hell was your question again?" Joey was baffled by the tone and by everything he had just said. How was she suppose to answer that and how was she suppose to tell him the hell that she had been through over the last year or so. She needed him to understand but on the phone was not the way to do it. "Pacey now that you are done with your rant, I am ready to tell you that I am done also. I am not doing this. You are going to have to grow up too and right now is as good a time as any." "What....." he heard the phone click and then a dial tone. "What the hell did that mean. Face this now. What ..." Pacey said muttering to himself. Meanwhile Joey picked up her coat and grabbed her keys. She took off for the front door. This was not over by a long shot. Co-founder of the (X)s admiration club |
