I've gotten to a point in my spirit quest when I had to make a very difficult decision involving Keedra. I told him there's a possiblity that he's not my one true love. I said we needed some time apart so I cold sort things out. Well, he took it personally and accused me of seeing someone else. Now he's not speaking to me. I don't know what to do, Aunty! I never meant to hurt him, but I have to follow my spirit guides. Hajin told me they wuold never steer me wrong.

Oh, sweetie, I'm sorry to hear that. I know that could not have been an easy thing to have to say. I really don't have much advice, except to give Keedra time. I know you did not mean to hurt him, but he cannot help but be hurt. Your quests are so personal, they are difficult for others to understand. I'll be here for you, whether you need a sympathetic ear, or a shoulder to cry on, dear.

In two days we'll be on the same patrol together with Uncle Jimmy. That's sure going to be awkward. I hope SandPhoenix can put his personal feelings aside and focus on our job out there. Pahda warned me about getting involved with another Hawk. Maybe I should have listened.

I wish I could assure you that it won't be awkward, but I can't. SandPhoenix is confused, and hurt, I can sense that. The only advice I have is to maintain your own professionalism. As for your pahda, he tends to forget how lucky he is to have a lady who loves him, changes and all. The rest of us have not been so lucky, my dear.
Good luck, and I'll be in my quarters after your patrol ends if you need to cry or vent.

Aunt Em, the patrol went ok. Seemed that we both kept our minds on our job out there. We even ate together on our break. We didn't say much though. I wasn't sure what to say to him really. I guess that's an improvement.

Yes, dear, that is an improvement. Just take things one day at a time, and trust what your heart and your spirit guides tell you. They will not lead you astray.

I got a real surprise today, Aunt Em! Keedra asked me t marry him out of the blue! He said he wouldn't take no for an answer! I told him I'll have to get back to him. I'm going through a lot right now with my quest as it is! I wonder does he realize he's making this quest very difficult for me.

I was afraid he was going to do something like this. I don't think he understands your spirit quests, or what they mean to you. We Hawks "saw" you protect Jade, and later,all of us, from the forces of Wenbaren. Keedra has not, and I think that mat be part of why he does not understand.
Don't let him pressure you into anything you are not ready for. I'll keep an eye on him, and I'll make sure Will does too. You know he's as discreet as I am.

Aunt Em, thank for that talk in your quarters. I feel a little better now. I also think I'm close to completing this quest. The wild thing about it is that even when I do complete it and find my one true love, he could reject me. I find that kind of scary.
