When the Rome Braves visit Columbia next week to face the Bombers, the two teams will have six games to finish in three days. For this unusual series, the Bombers have a special offer for Capital City fans: six games for a total of six dollars!
Cap-City’s visit to Rome last month got completely washed out by a storm system—only one game even got started. July 15-17 in Columbia will be the final series between the two teams, so they have to complete that suspended game (3-3, 8th inning) and then play five others from start to finish.
Team President Rich Mozingo explains the “Six for Six” Ticket Plan: “It’s a mid-week series in mid-July with a wild amount of baseball packed in it. We’re fighting for first and we wanted to find a way to give the crowd a boost, so we came up with the smallest season ticket package ever: get the same seat for six games in three days for just six bucks. That’s six games for the price of one, in the best seat in the house!”--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is cheaper than the pine tar game!!!!

Re: Another Example Of Why The Minors Are Cooler....
Sometimes I hate living in the 'burbs. People wanted to build a minor league stadium here, but all the uptight people freaked out, complaining about traffic, blah, blah, blah.
So everyone around the area is cleaning up with their teams, while we stare at a huge patch of grass destined to be another mall. You might have to get an independent team for a year or two, but if you draw someone will notice, like the Hudson Valley Renegades. Apparently there's just no market for a family going to see a Baseball game for less than $200. I spend $20 just to get into Shea, excluding ticket and car repairs from the Tri-Borough....
We can all be jealous of Meg now too, the future is in Florida. Kazmir and Peterson make a pretty nasty righty-lefty combo. I can't claim to know a lot about Peterson, but I know he's another big dude, and his numbers keep on impressing (no jinx!). Maybe I'll go to a Binghamton game next year, for the first time since I saw generation K in all it's minor league glory....
