Amphibious assaults
I was looking up a rule on amphibious assaults in TGW, then came to the stark realization that they are hardly even addressed in the rules.

I know that most of us will be on the same page, but as Imp always said, TGW is supposed to be stand-alone. We can't assume that A&A rules carry over. I think it would be a good idea to add a paragraph or two on the topic.

I was trying to remember what we decided on aircraft retreating in amphibious landings. I think we said that if it didn't come by boat, it can retreat. That includes any other ground units that came by land from a neighboring territory in combined attack.

See what I mean? That decision is at odds with the old A&A traditions. If that's your intent, Imp, I'd sure like to have it written down.

A late reply
It never made sense to me that aircraft would be more limited in retreat in an amphibious assault than in another combat. Therefore, you are correct.

The land units are committed, however.

Cheers, and sorry for the late answer, if you're "still on the line." :)
