Black, open faced humbucker, medium-high output, to mount in a Strat pickguard. I've been looking at a few, but not sure where to go (whether I should go with one of the "big names" and pay the extra, a la Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio, or if a lesser good quality name would be better, a la GFS or whatever). I've been looking at the JB and Custom Custom from Duncan, the DiMarzio Fred, and a couple GFS PAF styles (Fat PAF and Overwound PAF). Does anyone have experience with GFS pickups? You can get a SD JB for a decent amount. Pretty versatile pup. I've heard good things about the GFS tele pickups, but no idea how they are as a whole.
