A Personal Invitation to You! {GOLD HP RPG}
**--==This is an advertisement for The Seventh Horcrux==--**
Do you remember the days before you had to pass an SAT-level test to join an RPG? Do you remember the days when the requirement of a post was quality, not quantity? What about the days when new people were welcomed with open arms, and everyone was welcome to RP? Well, we at The Seventh Horcrux remember, and we have made it our personal goal to bring back the Golden Days of Roleplaying!
We, the Administration of The Seventh Horcrux, have made it our personal goal to not only expand our small-but-loyal group of Roleplayers, but to bring a resurgence in the old ways of making Roleplaying fun. We are, as of this date, the only Roleplaying site that has a Constitution that outlines the promises that the Staff has made to the Roleplayer; our Constitution ensures the rights of the roleplayer against lack of service, abuses of Staff power, and various other ways to help make The Seventh Horcrux more enjoyable. If you are interested in reading over our Constitution, please feel free to do so, and to make it easy, the link to it is right HERE.
But our rules and our Constitution are not the only things that we an offer the Roleplayer! We also have perhaps one of the most interesting plots currently running, something which has happened by more chance than anything else! We started off as trying to guess what would happen in the seventh book, but things have taken a turn for the 'better,' in my opinion, and it is almost like we have decided to make our focus on Original Characters and selected Canons, not the usual 'Golden Trio.' The result is a vibrant community of characters with their own opinions, feelings, allegences, desires, ambitions, and talents. To give an few examples, we have Asha 'Blaze' DeFeu, a Slytherin 6th year who has no real allies in the Slytherin house; she has a good wand-arm, but she lacks in people skills, and she is also a Pyrokinetic (with restrictions, of course). She has a sister, Angel, who is a Hufflepuff 6th Year and who is the more social and charming of the two, but who lacks the wandplay of her sister. Then there is Natasha Eudora Stafford, who on the surface seems like the typical aristocratic Slytherin who allies herself with the Dark Lord. Underneath, however, she is torn between what she wants and what she feels is right; she has begun to see the pettyness and backstabbing nature of the Slytherin house, as well as the hypocrisy of the Death Eaters, but she is driven by a sense of family duty and social obligations to continue down the road that would ultimately lead her to being one of the people in the black robes and masks. There is also Karyn Sinistra (played by none other than Lord Whiteroses), who has taken on a new, vibrant personality and is now one of the favorite teachers, if only just for the fact that she can be a bit vindictive and unstable. There is also, of course, the newest Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher, Amelia Raine, who has taken a slightly controversial and very hands-on approach to teaching. She teaches for survival in a world run by the Dark Arts, and is not afraid to put her students in dangerous situations. Medwin Raghnall, former German Minister of Magic (1945-1953), has taken the Charms post in light of Professor Flitwicks death at the hands of the Death Eaters, and he brings with him a jovial air (and a case of wine, but we won't talk about that).
As you can see, our board is more about our characters, and how we develop them. Our plot evolves to fit our character's growth, our characters don't evolve to fit our plot's continuance. If you want a run-down of the plot, however, it would be as simple as reading the next few paragraphs.
September First, 1996-- The students of Hogwarts return to school after a relatively quiet Summer. The only events of true consequence were the murder of Professor Flitwick, and the arrival of a few new members of the Hogwarts Staff. Amelia Raine, hailing from London and bringing the training of an Auror with her, comes to fill the vacant DADA slot, as well as Head of Ravenclaw. Professor Medwin Raghnall, former German Minister of Magic, comes out of retirement in Berlin to Hogwarts to replace Professor Flitwick as Charms Teacher; he is the oldest living Professor currently teaching at the school. Anberlin Savven, another young professor with Auror training, and a talented Animagus to boot, has come to fill the Transfiguration slot left open by Headmistress McGonagall's promotion.
Most of the Summer and Winter terms pass without much to be concerned about. There are a few ripples of Death Eater activity here and there, such as the incident where a 'mystery assailant' snuck into Azkaban, killed two gaurds, and conducted some unknown mission. Other than that, however, it seemed as if the Death Eaters were keeping a low-profile. Unbeknownst to everyone else, including the Order, Lord Voldemort has been planning his most ambitious move yet, and he has simply been waiting for the appropriate time to set everything in motion. All that anyone, even high-ranking Death Eaters such as Snape know is that there is going to be a lot of activity, and it is going to be compressed into a short amount of time. As December rolls around, it seems as if tension hangs in the air, as both Death Eaters and Order Members alike know that something is about to go down.
Life in Hogwarts, for a student, is just like normal, however. There are exams to study for, homework to be completed, and crushes to chase after. There has been a rush to find a date for the Holiday Ball, and those who have yet to find someone to spend the night with are running out of options. There are rumors circulating about the combined Charms-DADA final, which is said to be the most difficult Exam anyone will take this term. The only students that seem to have any hint of something being out of the ordinary are those who live a double-life. Draco Malfoy, attending Hogwarts in order to keep up appearances, has been given some sort of secret mission, something that even Severus Snape is unable to help him with. Natasha Eudora Stafford, the Slytherin Princess, has both been chasing after her crush and planning perhaps the most spectacular revenge anyone has ever witnessed. Seamus Finnegan, while outwardly appearing to be normal, has been doing a few things for a certain group of people that might get him kicked out of Gryffindor.
And so, as the Winter Term draws to a close, those who know nothing about what is about to happen live happily and with no fear; those who have a feeling that something is about to happen, however, find themselves preoccupied with keeping watch, lest they be caught off-gaurd by some sort of major Death Eater attack.
If you think you would like to become a part of our world, or just want to stop by to check things out, please feel free to visit us any time, day or night! I can assure you that your chances of finding one of the Board Staff online are better than not, and we are always happy to answer questions or address concerns! Oh, and just remember: We don't require perfect applications (except for important canons), we believe that your application is more of a way to introduce us to who you are bringing into our world, not a reason for us to rip apart your usage of the period.
Thank you for reading this long advertisement, and be sure to swing by some time!
