5th Queynos Badge
I know a lot of you are interested in and/or currently doing the Queynos Badge of Honor Quests. We are experienced at the first four, but have never done the newest one. Here's some info I compiled on it. Looks to me that the boss gnoll is the toughest part of the quest, and from a number of things I read, he appears to be approximately a little tougher than Black Dire, and fairly easily slowed. He can be pulled out of the cave solo by 1 or 2 good invis pullers.

Re: Jaggedpine Zone (Legends) - Qey Badge of Honor - Baking
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This quest takes place in Jaggedpine Forest.
Note: to anyone, Stay Clear of the the river... It is swarming with Potameids, they are Dark Blue (and some LB) to 57, and can't be snared or rooted. (KOS)
Ok here is the quest so far, i will leave out the talkie bits but if you want feel free to go through all dialogue with the NPCs.
(I am presuming you got your Qeynos Badge of Honor, else you got some other questing to do first)
1. Go to Jaggedpine, near the portal in point is Sergeant Caelin. Hand him your QBoH, he returns 'Marked QBoH' (same stats) and a Writen Warning.
2. Hand Writen Warning to Guard Finewine. He is about 20 yards from the Sergeant. He says he wont give you the Shift Report till he gets some elegant food.
3. Skip the Gnoll/pate recipy book part.... cheeky gnoll just took my Patty Melt and told me bugger off. My faction was not high enough. (you do not need to do this part)
4. you need to make Pate -
Dryad or Potameid parts
Brandy
Spices
Plant Shoots (foraged)
I used Potameid cos i think you can loose faction with Dryads. Not a hard kill for 57 dru... just Winged Death and ran around (no snare/root) tossed in a nuke or 2.
5. Hand the pate to Guard Finewine. He likes it but its not quite perfect. He wants some better Pate, and he hands back Writen Warning and Special Brandy. Make -
Panther Liver (NoDrop from Black Panthers - most LB to 57)
Special Brandy
Spices
Plant Shoots (foraged)
(if you fail i presume you can hand him another normal Pate to get another Special Brandy. Unless you get it back on fail?)
(I killed a number of Poachers to recover the Jaggedpine-Residents faction you loose from killing the panthers. i killed 3 or 4 to get my liver)
6. Hand Liver Pate and Writen Warning back to Guard Finewine. He gives you his Shift Report.
7. Hand Shift Report to Sergeant Caelin, he gives you a Book of Reports to take to Captain Tillin (on the balconey in Qeynos Arena)
8. Book to Captain Tillin, he gives you some Orders to take back to Sergeant Caelin.
9. Orders to Sergeant Caelin. He gives you a Writ of Execution and a 2 Slot Container! (have a container slot free)
He tells you to kill the boss Gnoll in JP, named Barducks Darkpaw. Then combine the gnolls head and the Writ in the container and hand it back to Caelin with your Marked QBoH.
The the boss gnoll hits fast for 240+ and has a lot of hps (~20k?), but is nothing special otherwise. He is found in the darkpaw caves north of the fort. He sometimes drops other stuff in addition to his head, like a 16/29 sword.
Notes:
I was unable to find any Ovens in the zone, maybe i didnt look hard enough, so i just gated up to Bazaar when i needed to combine, or you could carry a spit.
You must be AMIABLE or better to do this quest or your turn-in's will get eaten!
The Potameid Pate is TRADEABLE, and took 3 attempts at 138 baking skill
The Panther Pate is NODROP, but I combined it with 21 baking skill. (I had one char with higher skill make the potameid and then gave it to the one doing the quest who turned it in, got the nodrop brandy, and then did the Panther Pate combine himself) I suspect the Panther combine is no-fail, but thats just my opinion.
When you kill the named gnoll for the head, the fort despawns and gnolls overrun it for quite a while...you have to wait to turn in. You CAN stop the gnoll invasion if you hurry and have the appropriate force ready, and there is even a quest associated with doing so.
